Searching for 2020 BMW M8 GC First Edition

Hey everyone -

I'm still in search of a M8GC and was wondering if anyone knew of further discounts to the First Edition cars, seems to be quite a few of them with MSRP at $175k kind of languishing on dealer lots.

I'm in Cali and was looking for a recommended dealer if anyone has one.

Thanks in advance!

I couldn't understand why anyone in their right mind would get a non-competition model for that kind of money.

Seems like a stock interior and individual paints were given away as freebees on the GC. The rest (1 of 400 plaque/headlights) seem non-value adds IMO.

The dealer will have to take a very big hair cut on these...

You forgot the gold bronze emblem and yellow headlights. That aside right there with you that for that kind of $$ I'd be joining limeypride with a glorious big arse'd M8C GC.

First editions are comp and a little extra on the exhaust as well

Interesting. First time I see a Comp model without the comp designation on the badge but you are right!

That said, the VIN only lists the standard M-Sport exhaust (S1MA).
What is the little extra on it?

Also, unlike many pics, the headlights are not yellow. Was that a Euro or 1 of 8 spec?

Overall, if the free individual paint deal is still on, that car can be build for $153 as a MY21, so this car will take a very big hit from the get-go...

Just a word of caution, i.e., BMW is pushing software updates in 2020 that limit the exhaust aggressiveness here in the US. Thus, that added benefit will likely go away. Hence, a custom build of a 2021 M8C GC with the free individual option still in play may be your best bet.

I thought it was supposed to be through September, but I swear I thought I saw that it was still available. Don’t remember where I saw that though.

You pay extra for the green and gold. I looked into one, but it wasn't what we were looking for. Now we're looking at an x7 or Q8/q7. But for a sedan / Panamera, the gran coupe BMW was very comfy.

yeah I did too, they wanted $2100/month and although it's a very beautiful car, it's not worth $2100/month to me at the moment.

2021 Panamera has a ton of upgrades. Don't think it's avail until spring though

Mat did a good review of the Turbo S and ultimately considers it a shortlist worth looking at.

That listing bothers me. At no point do they show the 1 of badge. The lights are not yellow and the listing never calls is first edition. I would figure trying to get that kind of money for it they would brag that it's a limited production run. I feel like they ordered it in a custom color and got the wheels, badges and trim out of their supply system.

Someone convince me I'm wrong.

Even weirder is the effort taken intentionally miss virtually every indication of it being a first edition in a picture.

Nice video. Always like watching his vids...

Too bad he didn't do time 0-60 and 1/4 on track like he does the other cars he reviews. Rock road timed 0-60 LOLOL

Found this review as well which I find entertaining

I already posted pics of the FE model showing that they don't have the yellow DLRL's.
The VIN shows that it's a First Edition model (SXC7)

Well that sucks. That's was the best part of it to me. The bronze grill with those yellow lights worked for me. Without them is not quite the same.
