Looks like the Taycan is taking sales away for the Panamera, and 911 sales are also down for the quarter.

I'm not surprised 2/3rds if the sales are the SUV (Macan and cayenne); and then nearly 1/3rd of remaining sales (911&pana) was the electric Taycan.
That's the current "trend". All electric and SUV.

That said the Taycan looks amazing and 0 to 60 in 3 seconds makes it as fast as anything in the market.

Of course sales are down they stopped production. My dealer has zero "S" model Carreras and is waiting for 2021 model to arrive. If you recall the 2020 992 has been out since early 2019. The dealers had inventory and sold the cars, now they don't have much inventory. He himself said he doesn't have any new 911's to sell people. Very limited choices so most opt for ordering a new 2021 or buying used

That's why 911's are holding value they stopped making/shipping them in the early days of covid.

In actuality that article is misleading. Taycans are cold and sit on dealer lots and panamera's are ICE cold. Panameras have been cold for a while even more so bc the 2021 is supposed to be a huge improvement and doesn't arrive until early 2021

Thanks for the insightful info. I haven't been to a Porsche dealer since early 2019 to once again see if there would be a miracle and I could comfortably fit in a 992. When I first read the news as it hit my cell phone's new feed I expected the Cayenne and Macan to be the largest percentage of sales. However, I was surprised at the Taycan sales and of course took it at face value. Your context level set that completely.
