Is anybody out there getting this new Apple CarPlay feature to work in their car after receiving the new 07/2020 update? Supposedly 2020's should be capable.

If it is working, please let us know model & build date on your car. Also, pics are scarce out there...would love to see what it looks like! Thanks!

is it only the apple map's that show up in the hud or will google maps/waze as well?

I've heard reports of it being Apple Maps only as well as Apple Maps + Google Maps but I've never heard anybody say that Waze showed up. Obviously that would be freaking awesome!!

My car is at the dealership right now supposedly getting update to 07/2020.35 so I should be able to report back very soon.

I would be happy if i could run both bmw nav and CP nav. the fact that i can't drives me nuts. I like to see turns in the hud but have waze warn me of things along the way on the main screen...ugh just dumb

I just got home from the dealer. They updated me to 07/2020.45 (which I didn't even know was out...I had thought 07/2020.35 was the most recent).

As of first try, Apple Maps works in HUD...& I LOVE IT! It also shows up in Assisted Driving View in center of cluster.

I tried Google Maps & Waze to no avail. I'll do some searching as I thought Google Maps was supposed to work in HUD too.

what about the pops and crackles, did you get them back?

Unfortunately, they are still reduced from what they used to be. I was really hoping though!

Well sounds pretty useless as apple Maps are still garbage compared to google and Waze. Did see google started allowing you to post police positions.

Sorry if someone already answered this, do we have to go to the dealer to get it updated? I did the Remote update through the Connected App and I don’t have Apple Maps in HUD yet.

Finally got to testing the HUD with carplay, can only get the map in the HUD with apple maps
