The M8 does qualify for the new 8 series rebate of $1,500 as long as the vehicle is retailed as new with 1,000 miles or less. Let me know if you have any other questions and have a good weekend.
I almost brought this up on the other thread with some M8/M8Cs showing up as used listings at dealers whom have "purchased" them for loaners (I think someone pointed out it entitles them to the Flagship $ in doing so). Granted get a good enough deal the loss of the $1500 rebate can easily be forgotten.

You need to be a member for 6 months prior or you cannot get the rebate though
That indeed was the case when I bought my wife's 2017 X5 as I found out that there was no way to get the rebate with that prior membership requirement. However, unless they have removed the option at least in December of last year I was able to purchase a 3-year membership to CCA and qualify for the $1500 rebate on the 2020 M850i I purchased a couple of weeks later when the car landed (I had it on order) at my dealer. If memory served that roughly netted me a $1200 value when I cashed the $1500 check.

Update: Just checked and they removed that benefit of instant rebate on a 3-year membership in January 2020. That sucks.

Important Update: The Membership Reward Rebate program terms are changing on January 1, 2020. Individuals who purchase a three-year or longer membership after December 31, 2019, will be required to wait six months before taking delivery of a new BMW and applying for the rebate.

That sucks. The 6-month eligibility doesn't make sense if you pay for a 3-month membership. It's not like u can retract the membership and get ur money back after using the $1500 rebate. The rebate should be instant as soon as u get the 3-year membership.

Oh well, it's their policy!

Regardless it's a great perk. No other manufacturer car clubs I know of do that.

Agreed and depending on where my mind sits in November of 2022 in regards to the lease of the M850i. I'll either buy another year of membership to leverage for a new lease or pass if I decide to buy out M850i lease. With the handwriting already on the wall in regards to the 8-series I highly doubt I'll decide to take it in the shorts with the RV and let my custom build go. If it shows up in state on a dealer's lot I have a close friend that I'll fund the cash to buy it. If not I'll start over from scratch but look for the best 8-series on the ground that matches my desire vs another order. For now I'm just enjoying the drive.

This was posted yesterday in the "future model information" thread:

"EOPs for all three 8 series models postponed until 06/25 (previously, G14 was scheduled to EOP in 06/24, G15 - 10/24, G16 - 02/25)."

If accurate, can this be interpreted as meaning that no official decision has been made with respect to the future of the 8-series?

Any one know what kind of a deal is possible for M8 Competition Convertible?

36 month
7.5k or 10k miles

I've heard that good deals only apply to non-Comps...

Conv comps are pretty hard to come by. I have never seen one. My dealer still has several conv on the lot

Conv and comp sounds like a oxymoron

My dealership tried to sell me a 2020 m8 competition convertible in adventure red with tan leather.

They exist, but they are rare.

I have one (M8 vert comp). I wanted a non comp convertible with CCB. At the time I was looking (late Dec/early Jan), there were no non comp convertibles with CCB in the US and no way to order one with that configuration until August.

My dealer traded for an allocation for a competition version and added the CCB the day before the order locked.

Although it cost me more, the upside is that I got to configure the car to spec. The darker trim looks better than the non comp and I won't have FOMO about the comp.

As to whether you can get a deal, there are a few competition convertibles out there that have been sitting since I was looking so you might be able to get a good deal if you are willing to look around the country.

What's a stripper?

Otherwise, no. I'm not sure I understood the question since, to me at least, it's so far detached from reality—have you got something close to this?

A buddy of mine got a m8 deal 5k down 7500 miles 1070 a month on a 157k conv through a broker.

So fair to say on a 145k conv with 5k down to be under 1000 with 10k miles is do able .

If you say so—the annual mileage on those amazing deals discussed in this and other threads rendered them moot for most. You're looking for 10K miles and extrapolating a monthly payment, it doesn't work that way. But, I've been wrong before so you never know.

From 157k to 145k that itself is about 80-100 bucks in payment right there if not more realistically it's around $120 ..... btw on a side note your m8 is sick saw a thread on it.

I'm a low baller who looks for deals just for shits and giggles I'm paying 760 a month in jersey on a 127k msrp m850 12k miles ZERO down just tax and reg with 85$ in doc fees.

I strongly believe come November deals will be there especially on the conv lying over 180 days on dealer lots especially the smaller one off dealers.

Got it.

And thanks--I rather like her, too.

I wish you luck--let us know if you get there.

There are 67 on the ground today according to cars.com. In fact there is one at Century West BMW in LA with Brands Hatch as the exterior and Sakhir Orange/Black for the interior that is calling my name. However, with a whole new phase of home remodeling in the bidding stages I'm completely out of the car market.

I'd still say that is rare though, i.e., 67 across the entire US is roughly 1.35 per state. Sure in reality some states may have 2 vs others with zero but literally that is 2 cars max in an entire state. I for the most part tracked the 850i inventory here in the Phoenix area throughout 2019. I'd say a safe overall estimate is there were about sixty 2019 M850is (coupe and convertible) on the ground that all have been sold.

For 2020s only 3 M850i coupes have been sold (including my first failed order, my 2nd order I took delivery of and one other at the competing dealer). So far zero M850i convertibles and the vast majority that have been on the ground are 840i coupes/convertibles, a handful of M850i GCs and about a dozen M8/M8Cs (coupes/convertibles). All of that said seeing another 8-series while driving the streets of Phoenix is the equivalent of spotting a white wale, i.e., a rare sight indeed.

if there is 0 m850i convertible, mine must be rare. I'll trade it for an m8comp convertible with same packages.
