Funny thing is that car was louder on the inside than our M8c. Those speakers were working overtime

Snappy car actually but not worth the $94k as it was. With the S-Class coupe, the smallest model was the 550/560 in the US. This should be the same with the 8 series starting with the 850...
If they only did 2 models I'd go 840iS (or a similar naming scheme) with an S58, rwd plus the M8 with the 660ps engine coming to the M5 CS only.

Personal preference. I think the car is too pricey for a small engine hence the example of the S coupe.

We’ll also have to see if the CS adds anything meaningful. Those few extra horses can be had with a simple tune (actually much more than that).

Coupe or GC? Sounds like a good deal. For a GC it's a massive deal. For a coupe I think you could do better tho. Would try to push for 25% discount. I think I've seen people grab close to 30% discounts on these M8 coupes.

Hi Folks. Found this forum while searching for my next car. Got a couple deals on several models. Been great slowly learning the lingo. I thought we attorneys had our own lexicon. Y'all truly put us to shame. Thanks to everyone in all the forums for all the advice, information and laughs.

Best I've gotten on an M8GC (Demo - 4500 miles)

MSRP: $135,850.00
Adjusted Price: $122,000.00
Rebate: $3,000.00
MF: .00118 (base)
DAS: $1736.71

The kicker here is the car is in TX so the sales tax is paid on the selling price (~$7300). With that rolled into the payment I'm looking at $1739.05. Thoughts? Salesman says the dealership is making $0 on the car at the $122K price point. Push for more or snap it up tomorrow?

With loyalty, base MF and max MSDs you should be at $1339 with tax and first payment+acquisition+registration+tax on the loyalty credit due at signing. The payment assumes a 9.5% sales tax for Los Angeles.

Without loyalty and full MSDs you would be $1513 a month.

Need to know the details of your deal to see if makes sense or not.

Run far far away from that deal. Just sent you a link to much better deal a broker has on another site.

7Summits, I saw your email. Thank you for sending. The MSD's on there are a non-starter. My wife, though being OK with a $2000/mo car payment (she knows it'll be hers in about 18 months anyways) is NOT, repeat NOT cool with me spending $14K on MSDs. It's a fine line I know, but happy wife, happy life.

In your opinion, what makes the deal so odious? Also, think that the leasehackr calcs from that broker are a bit off. It lists Volvo as the manufacturer, has no sales tax and, what appears to be an incorrect residual. When I put my numbers in I come out around the same (less MSDs).

I'm really thinking about doing it, but just wondering if I should push for a larger discount.

All the best!

13k off seems low to me, but I don't play the lease game and all the numbers don't mean much to me.

But when I bought my m850i new preCovid, pre2020, I got something like $20k below sticker. (somewhere around 140k MSRP, out the door around $120k with all fees and 4.5% tax)
Nowadays dealership should be hard up to make a deal and willing to negotiate more, I'd think.

I'd think you can do at least 20-30% off MSRP on a demo [which is basically a used car] that is 2020 when the 2021 are coming in July a week away.

but that is just my 2 cents. I don't know how are hard the market is flooded with supply or demand.

Push for a larger discount if u can. I'd say at least 15% before loyalty/rebates. For a 2020, demo, non competition M8, 10% discount before loyalty/rebates is not a good deal.

Does anyone know from personal experience if the M8 is eligible for the BMW CCA rebate? The rebate form still refers to the M6 but makes no mention of the M8.

I received the $1500 rebate on my 2020 M850i last December and according to the website all 8-series qualify "8 Series - all models including Alpina" of course one has to take the Alpina designation with a grain of salt as no such animal exists.

it qualifies but you have to be a member for like a year before you buy. I joined after I bought and I didn't "qualify".

If you're a member, it's got great benefits. but if you're not, it's not worth it unless you're able to play their game and get the $1500 back every lease to keep it rolling for the member fees.

I was curious also and asked BMW CCA. This was the response I got. So yes, it qualifies.

The M8 does qualify for the new 8 series rebate of $1,500 as long as the vehicle is retailed as new with 1,000 miles or less. Let me know if you have any other questions and have a good weekend.

I am not following your comments on the calculator. Just change it to the correct info.

Regarding the MSDs...the max is 7x your payment. I have not done the math on your deal but typically it yields a return of 10-15% tax free. I think you need to sell her on the fact, you will buy her a nice pair of shoes or purse if she lets you do it.

Also, since the car is a demo, you wont qualify for the BMW CCA rebate which is another $1500 you are losing out on.

And just to confirm, you live in TX? Your location shows Florida.

The $3000 is the loyalty which is good.

Your MF is marked up. Base MF is .00118 which makes big difference in your payment.

Break down that $6K drive off for me.
