I am with everyone that says the Hellcat is a track worthy car. The Demon, probably not so much. Even in the advertising they advertise it as purely a straight line car. The suspension is totally different than the Hellcat and is not meant to handle well.
First article I could find that talks about the suspension. I think I would not want to be on a track with a car that in essense drains the front shocks of their fluid anytime you go full throttle. This is how they got the thing to get that track time. Crazy weight transfer to the rear under throttle. https://www.caranddriver.com/feature...-demon-feature |

In my opinion, it's about time to forget about straight only cars as that is already a dead end. Electric cars leave no choice. Demon isn't going to change anything - it's already dead on arrival. Soon a average 4 door electric sedan driven by granny will beat Demon on a straight line (and maybe on track too lol) and still have time to take a selfie
Future for enthusiasts is in cars that have best chassis and are fun to drive on the track, on the roads and look good and classic. Focus will shift from performance to driving fun. I suspect cars like Porsche 964 Growler with air cooled engine with MT and direct steering - will be a new classic. Supercars will have less place to be as their performance will be beaten by same granny in her electric grocery car |

They released their crate engine at SEMA:
Chrysler releases 'Hellcrate' 707-HP Hellcat crate engine at SEMA - The Torque Report https://apple.news/ANTP6rOZRRoK5m4JMIZjiEw Still wish BMW offered a plug and play kit of sorts. Wonder what their reasons are for not doing it. |
