This may make me decide to trade in my 848 and bypass the only bike I would replace the 848 with being the S1000RR.

I would buy your 848 maybe. Is it a Streetfighter?.....I like the sound of it but still love the Ducati v-twin sound. You know it when you hear it...don't even need to look at the bike to know its Ducati. My Diavel is over 4 years old and I can't find anything I remotely want to replace it with.

No, it isn't. It's the sport bike with a full Ohlins suspension upgrade (28mm front cartridges and TTX rear shock) along with the Brembo monoblock front calipers from the 1098/1198. There are other miscellaneous stuff upgraded too.

I know what you mean about the sound. It's pretty intoxicating. I have Akra titanium slip ons and the thing is pretty loud and mean sounding.

I'd wondered why the Ducs sounded different when I watched SBK in Dubai over the weekend (and was quite pleased that the Aprilias finished fourth and fifth) ...

I may have to annotate my best-sounding V4 opinion (Honda NR) after I hear one of these in person with Termignonis.

If Ducati ever makes a Diavel or a Monster with a V4, I will seriously consider getting back into motorcycling.

My 2014 zx6r is already faster than my z06. I don't need to increase my chances of killing myself
