Has anyone tried coding the new 8 Series?

Has anyone tried coding the 8 series to eliminate seat belt gong etc?
Thanks...

My coder has tried, repeatedly, but he’s having trouble breaking in. He’s one of the best, familiar to many people here, but we’re stumped, maybe because we have to do it remotely.

We’re trying again on Sunday, and I will report back.

Meanwhile, I’d be interested in hearing any success stories.

Bummer. Would be great if the anti-dazzle laser lights could be programmed.

Agreed. Many of the Easter eggs that needed to be liberated are now standard or owner-selected through iDrive. This includes folding mirrors upon locking, doors unlocking upon engine shutoff, etc.

But the features that still require coding and that I'm trying to get coded are:

- Anti-dazzle headlights.

- Auto Start/Stop retaining last setting.

- Eliminating four-beep seatbelt reminder.

- Eliminating legal disclaimer at engine startup, though this one now appears only randomly and infrequently.

My coder probably will suggest some other changes...when he figures out how to get into the system from his remote location. I have faith that he will, and I will advice further.

Just coded redhot47fla M850 today.
I able to code most of what he asked.
Only disclaimer delete not possible presently since it is a brand new module where it is still encrypted.

I happily can confirm this. My new coder, r33_RGSport, was able to remotely code my M850 to:
- Re-enable the anti-dazzle laser brights.
- Default auto-stop-start to the off position.
- Eliminate the four-gong seat-belt alert.
- Code the key fob and in-vehicle trunk release buttons so they also work to close the trunk.
I highly recommend him and his services.

the disclaimer delete would be a big one, but it's a shame it's not possible.
also the warning that appears with automatic parking delete would be nice.

That is an old post.
More things can be done since then.

Ben, can you be more specific?

I find that the M850 fits me so well that I can't think of much else I'd like to have coded, but a full list of the possibilities would be useful to me and to others.

Thanks.

The ID7 already code-able now.
So, anything with the Headunit can be coded. Such as:
- Disclaimer delete
- Video in Motion
- Full line text
- Rear Camera Zoom
- M Splash screen

Also more coding for the body:
- Roll up/down window interruption
- Side mirror tilt angle on reverse
- Remember last driving mode
- Disable horn when locked with engine running

Siveshm850i I can't reply to your PM. You need to enable it in your user settings.
