M8 Night Vision Retrofit

Hello,

sadly my M8 GC has no nightvision and i play with the idea to retrofit it.
I did a lot of research in the last few days and beside of the wireness harness I think I have now all parts together.

Code:
1x	Night Vision Kamera	66549322653
1x	Night Vision 3 ECU	66546993518
1x	Abdeckung Ziergitter	51138079976
1x	Aufnahme Kamera	51138079975
1x	Halter Steuergerät	61359493182
2x	Snap-Lock-Kupplung	46637691016
1x	Bedieneinheit Hauptlicht	61319471951

Also their a several ways to activate Night Vision 3:

1.) ECU & CAM from the same spender car + activator
2.) ECU & CAM from different spender cars or unused OEM + ecu mod
3.) ECU & CAM unused from OEM + FSC

I am just at the beginning, but i will keep this thread updated for everyone who also want to do this
If someone want to share their own knowledge on this, you are welcome!

Well I'm a bit of a moron. I've got the night vision option from BMW. Ordered from new. I've always kinda thought it was kinda lame. Until tonight.
Up til now the thing has gone off very few times since delivery of the car. A couple of deer alerts and maybe one person walking.
so I thought it wasn't worth the money. I don't drive a lot a night but do whenever needed. So a few times a week. Now that it gets dark earlier now it will be more often.
Anyways this evening I was sitting in the car having coffee. I started to screw around with the night vision.
Turned it on which causes the camera to show in the media screen. Here's the moron part. I noticed the side bar had brightness and contrast settings. So adjusted them and the screen came alive so to speak. All of a sudden I could actually see the thing working correctly. DUH !!!!
WAY more usable now and quit cool really. VERY effective now.
The usual warnings always come up in red. Deer Head and people warning in red too. They were always there. But the screen camera view was useless until i figured out to adjust up those 2 settings. Now it's quite awesome and very helpful. Even walkers on the sidewalk show up great!. Horses are large and quite yellow now. We have many buggies on the rural roads around here. They are generally well lit though. Those 2 settings are almost a sensitivity adjustment. Even though they are only a brightness and contrast control.
So it's like I just got a new feature.....lol....duh
