So badass. This is the first time in my life that i've actually considered leaving foreign for domestic. I don't even do that with women!

LS3 FTW. And people say 2V heads can't flow. My brother's 08 Vette with the same mods above made right at 500 whp. It felt like a crazy torquey Honda. Pulled harder and harder all the way to redline.

damn, from 360 to 505 with a cam and the rest are relatively simple mods, the ls3 has a lot of room in it

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this car, but isnt it a little too big and tall for its own good? How is it to drive? I would have liked it to be ~25% smaller than what it is, but I guess for the sake of posterity and nostalgia, it has to be as is....

Yup.

The LS3 (and LS2 for that matter), have always been sent from the factory with lots of "room to spare" in terms of potential. There are "lightly" tuned LS2's that are 10 second cars.

So unfair, i gotta spend 12k on a supercharger or 30k on a stroker to get 460-470 whp on the M3

Having come from a 135i and now owning a 2010 SS, I'll give some of my initial impressions. Keep in mind I have only had the car a few days ..

The car is pretty big compared to the 135i, however, it was set up pretty good. I think the steering is more neutral than the 135i was (with the 135i having a little more understeer). I would consider acceleration to be about the same (although I haven't gone above 4.5k or so now on my SS).

Fit and Finish on the car is pretty good. I do like the interior plastics on the BMW better, but in the camaro it really isn't too bad. The seats and the steering wheel are really good in the SS (But the Seats in the BMW were better, but the steering wheels I like about the same).

As I get more time with the car, I can give a little better feedback between the two ...

Thanks,
Crowley

If you're talking about numbers at the crank, this car will be making about 600Hp. It's pretty damn impressive for a NA car. I wonder how streetable that cam is?

Wow I'm shocked that the acceleration is similar on the SS, I figured it'd be like being hit with a sledgehammer when you got on it. I hear that the Chevy small blocks really loosen up after about 5K miles so you'll probably see an improvement by then.

Post up pics!!!

It sounds like it can barely idle with that cam, LOL. Impressive as hell but that's a pretty aggressive setup

I (Dont) want one now. The stock car seems adequate for everybody except the most thickest Americans.

To these people i say: Do something different, reduce weight (both yours and the car's)...
