Question Insurance options for toys that are not classics?

I'm going to be looking to put my Miata on a classic policy w/agreed value. Which companies are best to use?

Maybe a pay per mile like metromile insurance would be cheaper?

you can try and get a quote from hagerty. I'm pretty sure I got a quote on my '13 991 and my wife's '10 Z4 when I was just checking for grins. I currently insure an 86 300ZX with them.

I use national corvette museum for my toy cars. Doesn’t have to be a vette. They were hundreds less than hagerty and better deductible. I pay 300 a year for my 2011 135i insured for 25k, no deductible, and 5k miles a year.

Hagerty was pretty high on my 2013 M3...stayed with State Farm using Drive Safe and Save plan. Also have 2 other vehicles and my house with them. The M3 is a little over $500.00 per year.

Hagerty told me no. I did the online thing for Corvette Museum & said I don't qualify. Guess I should give up.

What did they say why you don't qualify? Do you have another car on another policy? My father has his 07 speed3 insured through them as well. Insured value at 25k, pays like 300 a year.

Yes, I also have the Jetta in my sig. They told me they would insure a Miata, RX-7 or RX-8, but not the Speed6 because it's a 4 door.

Weird, then why are they insuring a speed3? I would try calling them. The lady that works there is awesome and will help you.

State Farm for my E90 as a toy car with agreed value and mileage. No big deal at all.

I've got a good number of vehicles covered with Grundy (including the '08 Z4). Agreed value coverage, no mileage limit. The vehicle can't be your daily, and it must be garaged. http://www.grundy.com/
A buddy's vehicle (insured with Grundy) sustained much damage when a front suspension failure sent him off the road. The adjuster was super knowledgeable...but while in for the repairs, additional damage was found. She came back for a look then covered the new found damage with no hoops to jump through. You couldn't help but be impressed...even the guys at the body shop were. I like them.

Looks like I'll be going with Grundy. Hagerty wanted $800+ & NCM wanted almost $500. For a damn Miata. Grundy quote was $260. I did all these online. Hopefully, no bait & switch when I call.
