I really hope they beat the Z28 price, I suspect the base price will be a hair lower, more with options

Not digging that wing, straight rice. The Z/28 decklid is wayy more subtle. But wow, it sounds like a lion burping an Alfa 8C. Jeezus

This car was developed to compete in Continental Tire Series. That spoiler is there for competition, non-oem aero is not allowed per regulations. GT350R will make its debut mid season, with the Multimatic team. If the R version is too much for someone, they can always opt for the non-R.

I just had a thought. We've all heard the car driving in stock form. How is this thing going to sound with an aftermarket exhaust!?!?!?!

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

I use it to describe modifications that are distasteful, gaudy, and unpleasant. In this case, I find the wing to be all of the above. I'm sure it's functional, much like the wing on the M3 GTS (which I also think looks horrendous). If you want to get into semantics, go ahead lol.

Well the whole 'rice' term implies all show and no go. That's all I'm saying.

Like I said you can't handle the race version, get the GT350 it doesn't have the wing. This car only exist so it meets regulations to compete in Continental Tire Series. If the wing isn't on the stock car, it can't be used in the series. GT350R is the follow up to the Boss 302R. This time around they decided to make a version available to the public. Unlike the 302R, which was only available to race teams.

Ford:

All-new high-efficiency carbon fiber rear wing has been added in anticipation of competition. The wing moves the vehicle's center of pressure rearward while improving downforce and lift balance – ideal for high-speed track work.

I'm a big fan of what ford is turning out there days. I hope these 350's are as good or better than advertised. Maybe in 20 years I can pick one up.

A set of carbon wheels from the company Ford uses (Carbon Revolution) goes for around $16k.... http://www.halltechsystems.com/Carbo...els-p/cr-9.htm

So a M3 GTS adds a wing and everyone drools over it. Add a wing to the GT350R and they call it rice?

Ford is killing it, finally!

Rumor is the normal GT350 will be $53,000 ish. Probably a good $10,000 - $20,000 premium for the GT350R. The carbon fiber wheels alone would add nearly $10,000 you'd think That's all my speculation though.

Interesting that neither of these have a carbon fiber driveshafts (that I've read) like the old GT500 did. Maybe it's not that much of an advantage?
