Dude it's not that serious. I can teach you some creative road rage and you'll be fine.

Jeesh, you should drive around Seattle, where ven 2 and 3 lane roads get rolling blockades from unrelated slowpokes who team up. Talk about frustrating.

I'd just either chill or find a way to get by them. No need to rage, frustrating as it is.

The only other option I can offer is to take her license plate and call the constaple of the local juridiction to ask if there is anything that can be done by this "cop wannabe" and her regulating of traffic. There is a major know crackdown on drivers like this as it induces road rage...

Yeah. Seattle. I'm in Kirkland, so I'm sorry if you ever witness my minor road rage episodes.

New Jersey Statute Title 39, Section 39:4-97.1. Slow speeds as blocking traffic

No person shall drive a motor vehicle at such a slow speed as to impede or block the normal and reasonable movement of traffic except when reduced speed is necessary for safe operation or in compliance with law.

$85 fine

If you have connections in the NJSP, have them sit somewhere and fine her DAILY.

...Or you can just leave 2 dead fishes in a pillow and have a note that says "you're next if you don't speed up".
(I know, this is a bullet proof vest but close enough)

I'd say just chill and let this lady do her thing. You never miss your train, right? Then what does it matter if you get there with or without this woman driving like a silly wench?

Easy. Brake Check or drive erratic as she is about to pass you.

Kind of a similar situation. Only one route into work and a guy in a VW Golf GTi does exactly the same. Cut off and slow down. It was really getting to me at one point and we started playing cat and mouse. I would embarrass him by cutting him back but that only made matters worse. As for confrontation? I thought well if he can drive like a duchebag then do I really want to try and make him see sense? He drives like he has a screw loose. What the heaven I even tried mindfulness meditation and it has worked for a while. Deep breathing and letting go. Google it. These days I try to have a bit of compassion. What must be going on his life and his mind for him to be so careless? I don't know... I feel that when I let him go I feel better for it and in control. In control because I have not let him get to me. One day he may upset someone who won't be forgiving. If you could take a longer route one day then try it. Might work out more peaceful. Keep cool. Turn up the music and watch the idiots be idiots. It can be entertaining at times too if you struggle to feel sorry for them. I don't know if any of this helps...

Put a dead fish in her hub caps or slipped in between the hood and fire wall/windshield wipers, smear peanut butter on the back side of her door handle, buy some horrible bumper sticker and paste it to her car. None of that does permanent damage so its not really vandalism, and its worth a laugh. other than that ive got nothing...

Actually, after creating this thread and seeing both the funny and the helpful comments, I'm ready to move on from my hatred of her. I've found my zen and am ready to shrug her off. If I can't though, I'll just imagine myself sneaking to her house at night and slipping that "boot" on her tire.

Usually I am the most mellow driver out there, people don't bother me and I am not usually in a hurry, but just seeing this one "Volvo lady" or her car's lights in the distance absolutely turns me into Satan. Unfortunately she takes the same 2 trains as I do and must live in my area. I've alternated my time by +/- a few minutes to avoid her, but I am stuck behind her at least 3 days a week.

Where it's two lanes she will drive recklessly to cut everybody off so she can be in front of the line. But then she slows down to 5-10 MPH UNDER the 45 MPH speed limit. She has a daily "parade" backed up at least 20 cars long but it's crystal clear in front of her.

The 1 lane 16 mile stretch is a no-passing zone, but I've passed her anyway (she accelerated but I figured she would and was ready). I figure it's 4 points for passing but it's also 4 points for tailgating, so I take my chance when I can do it relative safely. I know it's stupid, but I'm telling you, she gets me so when I am stuck behind her! I don't take her personally because there's no way she knows every car I drive, and she always drives the same way.

I'm torn between:
a). trying to get over my anger towards her and just ignore her and find my Zen (I've been trying for 6 years, no kidding)
b). cutting her off into a ditch laugh and giving her the finger
c). confronting her at the train station with something like "I'm sure you're a nice person, but you drive like a dick" and see how that goes.

Any suggestions for me if you've made it this far?

~~~~~5 years later update~~~~
I quoted my original post so you don't have to go back to the beginning again
Thanks to getting this off of my chest and getting all of the helpful hints here, I've been following her peacefully for 5 years and just letting her do her stupid thing and not letting her bother me at all.
In December we had an apartment for rent. One of the best candidates was this really nice woman woman that called about it for her daughter who was moving back to the area, so we scheduled an appointment.
Yup. That FN Volvo pulled into my driveway! I was again very thankful to all of you guys for my 5 year Zen while I follow her (and also that I have a different bunch of cars than the ones I used to terrorize her with. )
Her daughter is now our tenant, I talk to her on the train and we refer to her now as "Trish, the Volvo Lady"
I'll still never tell her that I was that guy road raging and passing her on double lines though. Or car-pool with her.
Funny how life is.
