What's the best Porsche for $100K

Sup all!

I'm in the market for a Porsche and would like your thoughts and opinions on the best Porsche for a $100K budget. It doesn't have to be brand new as I just want the best one on the market for no more than $100K. Mind you that I have never owned a P car before or driven in one. However I'll be doing some test drive coming soon just to get a feel of which P model best suits my budget and performance level for the price. My preference is V6 NA but willing to go turbo.

Thanks in advance all!

You've never driven a Porsche and you have a hard limit of 100K but it's not clear whether that's your total budget or just the purchase price. If used, they're two different things.

You need to do more research, and for the love of God, drive the cars. Also, Porsches don't have V6 unless you get a Macan turbo or something. The sick NA cars were boxers.

FWIW I would suggest a 997 GT3. Or you could get a newer GT3 with dual clutch if you prefer that. Nothing wrong with either route.

Basically what can I get for $100k that I'm willing to pay in cash. As in cash offer. This post is to generate some recommendations while I continue to conduct more research. Gotta love those YouTube reviews and claims.

It's gotta be a 914! Also nothing wrong with getting a 928, 924, or 944 either

The "997.2" tells you the years for the GT3/Turbo that the guy was recommending. A google search of the chassis# and model will surely give more info to dig on! Good luck and enjoy the exciting hunt for your car

Get a CPO, loaded 991.1 C2S. For $100k, you could probably get a 2015 with plenty of warranty.

air cooled or water cooled, investment or daily type driver. The 993's (one of my favs), are going up in price like crazy. I'm kicking myself for not grabbing one a few years back. The last of the air cooled don't handle or perform as well as the new cars but they are all porsche if you buy into that camp.

I'd agree with earlier posts, you need to seriously educate and inform yourself before you drop $100K, you don't want to realize after the fact that what you bought wasn't what you thought you wanted.

Just my 2 cents

Happy Hunting.

Garage List
Get a 991.1 GTS if possible. Best car in that price range and available with a lovely manual gearbox.

Aye

If you're looking for a Porsche with a V6, you're pretty much limited to a Cayenne or Panamera.

We don't have nearly enough details to recommend anything. Do you want a P-car for status or are you looking for the performance. Do you want a 2 door, 4 door, or a SUV. How old or how new? These are questions that must be answered to get recommendations from strangers who have no skin in the game.......Phil

Newer GT3s are in the $150k price point. Even the 997 GT3s have crept up in value, a nice example will set you back $120k+

Would be hard to get a good one for $100k

I currently own a 991.1 C2S and this would also be my recommendation too. You might even be able to get a 991.2 under $100k. A C2S is the prefect balance between affordability, practicality and fun and great as your first Porsche.

So basically looking for the most bang for the buck as the saying goes. I am relentlessly trying to educate myself of the Porsche world as much as I can before commit to a car that I won't regret. Much like buying the E92 M3 (my 1st bmw). So here are the answers to some of your Qs:

1. Looking for P-car for both status and optimal performance for that price range
2. 2 door coupe
3. As early as late 90s to current yr model
4. I enjoy cornering
5. Low end torque doesn't matter, that much
6. Manual transmission
7. Ride to me is important. I want that driving sensation much like the E92 M3
8. Mostly a wknd car/ future collector car
9. Most reliable Porsche

I'm looking to add a Porsche to my E92 M3. Something that I can enjoy over n over
