Has anyone had this come up before? It was happening randomly for a couple of weeks, but I just washed the car yesterday and it’s just popped back up
Is it just dirt, or do I have a faulty sensor? Plugged into Bimmerlink and got the below: |

I've gotten this message once during a few rare times I've went through a carwash. All of when I couldn't get an appointment with my mobile detailer. I'm guessing the sensors are dirty but odd after you washed the car. When going through the carwash I suspected the soap and the spinning brushes, etc. confused the heck out of the sensors.

Could be so many things. The binmerlink codes indicate none would trip a warning, but you have a warning. Maybe the combination of warnings is sufficient to trip a warning? Guessing on my part.
Check your windshield for chips or cracks around the KAFAS window at top center. Also check your front bumper PDC sensors for rock chips or other debris or scratching of the paint. I've heard of people applying touch up paint to PDC sensors causing issues. This is probably partly why BMW makes the replacement sensors available pre colored. Is your istep up to date? Meaning in iDrive does it show you have 7/2022 or later running in your car?

clayk thanks. I think the KAFAS message is an old one from when I had my windscreen replaced - no issues with DAP / lane assist etc. it’s definitely sensor related - I’ve booked it in anyway so they can sort it under warranty!
