change angle on headlights - How?

Does anyone know how to change the headlight angle? Is there a knob/screw I can adjust to do that? How will I know if I exceeded "law specs" ?

I just got back from a long road trip, driving at 120mph in dark...I had to turn on the high beams every know and then to be able to see the pitch black road ahead. The brightness is fine without hight beams, but the "shinning distance" seems too short for high speeds. (road did not have reflectors).

How to do?

Thanks
Skimo

Hold on a second here... You were driving at 120 MPH on a pitch black road at night with no reflectors and you only used the high beams "every now and then?"

What am I missing here?

I used the highs when the road started to curve so I can get a better view of the turn....but on staight road Ididnt really need em as incoming traffic helped me determine my road. I didnt wanna keep the high on too long as not to blind incoming traffic. Actually i managed to dodge a racoon ( i think) while going arround 90 mph on that same trip...

I have to admit, I would not take a car up to this speed if it were not a BMW ! car just felt like soo solid at that speed....like im a train on its track...

The lights are auto leveling, there should be no reason to adjust them.

I actually think the lights are aimed a little too low as well.

When driving on a dark highway at night I thought the lights didnt brighten enough of a distance.

There are 2 screws on the headlights that ajust them, but it is very easy to go too far and blind traffic

Ask you dealer to set them to the upper end of the allowable specs
