Key hitting knee solution!

Our key has a bit of unintended functionality.

If you have this problem of the keys always hitting your right knee here's the solution.

You need to have the keychain in the left hole of the key. After you start up, simply press the button to take the metal key out of the fob. The car runs (and doesn't shut down after 20 min) and you can just set your keys in the little compartment below the shifter (or ashtray or whatever).

I find myself doing this all the time now.

Enjoy!

That's why I don't have a million keys on my keychain, just one for the front door. Also, move your chair slightly back, so your legs aren't ontop of you when not fully extended.

Interesting solution though.

Did you know, you can remove the key - then stick the fob in and it will STILL start the car? The fob has the "chip" in it, not they key (Unlike the wallet key, which has the chip for security reasons)

that's not exactly the main reason i ordered it, but definitely one of it's benefits! i'm really short so i have to raise my seat very high up and the keys might get in the way.

I just put the fob in the slot all by itself. All of my keys are on their own key chain.
