I am running

21x10 et 15 275/30/21
21x11 et 25 295/30/21

I would say the offsets are perfect

Most run a 20 or higher front and it’s not enough. I got the recommendation from a forum member to run the 15 and I’m glad i did. Nothing worse than custom forged wheels with the wrong offset

21" wheels is what any 8 series model should be fitted with from FACTORY! These cars have a furious presence so why not match it with the perfect dress.....ultimately the WHEELS.

Yes it is! Frozen Vanilla Metallic. The lighting isn't the best to show off the frozen effect, but in person it is incredible. Totally in love with this wrap. Looks different from every angle and in different lighting conditions. Sometimes more of the metallic, shows through, sometimes more of the frozen, and the white is so pure it is almost glowing. Need to get some better pictures now with nicer weather.

^^^^ EXACTLY.

The stock 20s have such huge sidewall they look almost like the tires I had on my 21" X5M. They look low profile on a SUV but on the M8 they look positively awful IMHO. All I saw was old man luxury car until I lowered and changed to 21s. Then the sidewall to wheel ratio looks similar to an M3/M4 or 911 on 20s and the M8 becomes much more aggressive and sporty looking.

And to be totally honest the ride quality didn't change that much as I expected from the lower sidewall as "comfort" mode is really soft.

Damn your wheels are pretty wide. I believe stock width is 9.5 front and 10.5 rear. I just ordered my HRE wheels at size 21x10 +16 front and 21x11 +23 rear. Was slightly worried I would be stretching the tire too much. HRE was even recommending staying at 9.5 and 10.5. But It being fully custom decided to atleast go a little wider. Not sure why HRE is being so conservative these days. Back in the day they would go wider with their recommendations. How are your tires treating you at 10.5 and 12?

I probably bumped the wrong thread earlier this week looking for guidance on fitment on my inbound m8 convertible.

Your M8 convertible looks awesome.
Do you have any recent pics?
Amazed you were able to fit a rear wheel 12" wide.
Can u share the offsets of your wheels?

I'm considering
20x10 et 25 or et 15 front
20x11 et 15 rear

Thanks

If you want a deep concave you need 12" the front 10.5" wheels have a shallow concave and it's just not enough to show off the wheel face. The concavity doesn't come across well in pictures due to the matte black finish combined with the wheel well shadowing it as well (and/or I am not a photographer!)

Offsets:
F: +28
R: +35

Recent pics to follow...

Sure, I can help with that.

The 20x10 et 19 and 21x10 et 20 wheel sets will both work with the BMW F90 M5. The 20x10 et 19 wheels will give you a slightly wider stance than the stock wheels, while the 21x10 et 20 wheels will give you a slightly more aggressive stance.

The 20x11 et 24 and 21x11 et 29 wheel sets will also work with the BMW F90 M5, but they will stick out farther from the fenders than the stock wheels. This can affect the way your car handles and may require additional modifications, such as spacers or fender flares.

It is important to note that the offset of the wheels will affect the way your car handles. A lower offset will push the wheels out farther from the fenders, which can improve handling but may also make the car more difficult to park. A higher offset will push the wheels in closer to the fenders, which can make the car easier to park but may also make the handling less responsive.

Ultimately, the best way to decide which wheel set is right for you is to consult with a professional BMW tuner. They will be able to help you choose the wheel set that will give you the look and performance you are looking for.

I hope this helps!

Since someone already started this discussion, wondering if you guys can help me as I'm not a tire expert as well and don't get these offset numbers... :-)

I'm thinking of upgrading my wheels this spring to 21" wheels but not sure what offset I need to get a flush look without using spacers. I'm not planning to lower the car but would like to go with the following tire size:

255/35R21 Front/285/30R21 Rear

Currently my M850GC has the M728s with the factory default tires.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Here is my BBS setup

20x10 et22 (this is a net 12mm from stock 9.5)
20x11 et24 (this is a net 10mm from stock 10.5)

I run the OEM tires which are 275/285 with with the slight added stretch I was able to add these spacers:

10mm front which creates a net et6
12mm rear which creates a net et6

no rub and lowered- zero cause my guy knows section width measurements (not just the number aka 275/285 but the true curve) down to a tee with PS4's.

Looking at some of these pic's confuses me a bit. I have wheels but not lowered right now. I've had a couple shops tell me I'd have to change my rears for me to lower due to the offset. But then I see some of you running larger offset and some on taller wheels.

Any thoughts?

Here are my specs:
F: 20x10 ET 20
R: 20x11 ET 22
