Hey all. Just got car back with the following mods:
Full OEM CF exterior package
CF Gas Cap CF / alcantara seat backs Re-wired headrest lights for always on 11mm spacers front and back. Note: the CF side vents are wrong ones. They’re not the shadow line competition ones. They’re being replaced once shipment arrives. I know the 11mm spacers are conservative, but seems like a subtle improvement to me. Welcome everyone’s thoughts. Cheers. |

It actually bears a striking resemblance to my own so I guess I’m 1) biased and 2) paying us both a compliment. I’ll live. 😎 Congrats! 👍 |

+1 to this. Mine’s lowered on KW HAS.
My first M8 was factory frozen paint and I found out too late that’s it’s very fragile and chips easily. It’s also nearly impossible to repair so I’d recommend a protective wrap ASAP if you don’t already have one. |

Yep, it’s got a full PPF on it as well as coating. You realize quickly that frozen paint isn’t necessary because you’re going to stealth wrap it anyway so there wasn’t really a need to pay the paint upgrade. I’m assume skyscraper gray metallic would have looked exactly the same.

I did indeed learn that lesson—my current car is Bluestone Metallic wrapped in Stealth PPF and, side by side, my prior frozen dark gray is clearly different but absent that, it’d be tough to tell the difference. Old on the left. |

I’m open to keep tinkering but I’m new to this mostly. Same question on exhaust - people say I should do it, but the stock exhaust sounds fine to me. |

The picture I posted kinda shows it but it’s much more pronounced from the rear view. I consider it a must have FWIW. Here’s a few more pics that may show the difference better. As for exhaust, I agree with you on that front and find the stock exhaust just right and it also opens up over time. If the subtle auditory pleasures of this engine, I’d recommend the Eventuri intake—it releases a beautiful turbo whoosh every single time they spool up and a cool wuh wuh wuh sound when the wastegate dumps unused pressure… LOVE IT. I’d also recommend some custom shift paddles per the enclosed pic. |
