I’m going to ask for the help and opinions of people here because let’s face it - there’s more knowledge on here than there is at the dealers (and it won’t be biased either)!

I’ve owned my beloved M850i for a year. I’ve had lots of work done under the bonnet and it’s now even more of a beast than the off-the-shelf M8. But I REALLY want to add some styling, the standard car is beautiful but it just needs a bit more.

I’d like to do something front, back and sides in black gloss or carbon. Definitely want to keep it classy and not have it looking like a 17 year old’s wall-poster!

Any advice huuuuugely appreciated - I’m in the UK but don’t object to buying in from elsewhere. We have carbon factory.co.uk but I’m really not keen on the only option they have which is massively over the top - too many angles, too big, not classy.

Pictures attached of current car - Please help me!

1st thing I'd do is swap wheels. Something more aggressive. Spacers ...not too much though .

Any style suggestions? I quite like the standard ones so would have to be really convinced!

I was thinking more of carbon fibre sill trims, that sort of thing…

My brother has just ordered and m850i Gc.. the wheels are almost see through. What I mean is ...the discs steal the show . If they were Carbon ceramic brakes it wouldn't be a problem but the wheel design on the m850i is just not great. Go for something deep ??

Whatever it is, it has to be made of something crazy solid. The roads here are full of potholes. I’ve had front wheels straightened twice already! 😭

Probably the wrong person to be answering this, as I’m not a fan of mods (big ones anyway), but a quad exhaust conversion would look good. Otherwise I think it looks class as it is mate.

Ironic as I was going to say the same thing. My go to quad exhaust for a M850i would be the AC Schnitzer which to the OP's desires also includes a CF rear diffuser. Westy AC also has a front splitter, etc in CF under their aerodynamics category on the website. The CF front splitter is beautiful but even lower to the ground then the stock rubber so even more attention needed for parking bumpers in parking lots (aka car parks in UK terms), speed bumps, etc.

You could also easily add the BMW OEM CF mirror caps. I have them on my M850i (dealer threw them in for free as part of BMW's failure on my build that showed up with cerium and their swap to shadow line) and they look great.

Pleased with that suggestion - I’ve always felt that quad tailpipes look a little bit better than the kind of “exit hole” it comes with.

I’ll do some research on this one.

Just updated my post with also adding the BMW OEM CF mirror caps. Simple mod and they look great in complement to the CF roof.

Nope. The rears have a much smaller offset than the M850 and are 10.5" vs 9". They stick out with way too much poke. Gotta go custom.

Depending on your budget I would personally go first for the M Performance Side-blades (51192464417 + 51192464418) and with Forged or Hybrid Casted wheels. Depending on your preference add some CF body parts like the Sterckenn Carbon Front Splitter or AC Schnitzer Front Splitter or Maxton as it got mentioned before.

Another idea can be a black PPF for the roof and the roof mouldings from cfk in black gloss (51138494907 + 51138494908).

For the back the AC Schnitzer Diffusor is definitely worth the money and the axle-back exhaust sounds great.

Do not forget to double check the part numbers in case you want to order those parts.

You can do the entire OEM M8 CF kit if you like. This includes the mirror caps, side vents, upgraded diffuser (exhaust would be necessary), trunk spoiler, and the front end pieces.

You can also put the CF cover on the engine, gas cap, and can replace the seat backs with CF too. The seat backs might require M seats.

Who makes a CF engine cover for the m850i?

It might just be the M? It’s an OEM product, though.

Really like the Maxton CF additions - that’s the kind of “upgraded but subtle” look I was hoping for.
The AC exhaust upgrade is a bit of a must I think - although it seems it doesn’t come with the rear diffuser, that’s an additional cost making the upgrade pretty steep. I agree it needs quad tips though.
Love the engine cover idea, I’ll research that one for sure.
Thanks for the ideas all, much appreciated 👍

Any opinions on the Remus back axle exhaust system at all?

Has anybody got one?

Yes, catch-22 on the AC as you need the exhaust plus CF diffuser. It all adds up but now that I own the M850i vs the original 3-year lease I'm willing to move forward.

I would de badge the back end. Subtle, but cleans things up.
