Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has a picture of the exhaust layout of their M8 Coupe. I just got secondary downpipes, looking to purchase this X Pipe, and replace the “middle” resonator with it.

I had M5 before, it Had downpipes, resonator & back muffler (3 parts in full exhaust), some google pictures Im seeing that the M8 Coupe has a resonator right after downpipe than a middle resonator again and finally rear muffler (4 parts)- so confused. My car was lifted up before I never noticed to check.

Thank you so much! Is this from coupe or grancoupe. Because I think the Dinan Midpipes Resonator Delete kit for M5 would fit the M8 coupe.

Any exhaust shop worth anything can fab an x-pipe for you at a fraction of the cost of buying the Dinan piece. It’s not rocket science, cut out resonator and weld in an x-pipe they should be able to make on the spot

I would do that, I dont know any great muffler shops that speak english. I live in new york city. Almost all are spanish speaking people and frankly they just dont understand what Im telling them to do. Past experience I went with my m5 and asked to make a x pipe, i dropped the car, they literally did straight pipes and eventhough I liked the sound the drone was killing me at lower rpms. Thats why figured easy clamp and unclamp with dinan pipes. Looking at amazon X pipes as well.

That sucks, you need to find some local BMW enthusiasts that can recommend you some local options who know what they’re doing
