Agree, as I stated above mine Velvet Blue fits so much better on smaller sportier car.
Specially 911 the shape make it just look great.

It's a big car but really great looking.
I like the new M8, specially GC
They should've stuck M6 badge on it because, it's basically M5's coupe, flagship car would've been real M8, lightweight, mid engine, Supercar. Disappointing just like original.
I loved the old 8er and so the new one

Well, bigger number usually means bigger car

For lightweight mid engine I would select M1

I used to love old 8 series when I was a kid, they say don't meet your heroes, then I got the chance to drive it, it was disappointing to drive, nowhere near as good as e34 M5, or e30 M3, or even e24 635i, I don't know about 850csi in Manual or Alpina version but, 840ci and 850ci were very badly balanced cars, my guess is you never driven it or don't care about driving dynamics, and new M8 is same as M5, why bother pay way too much for it.

I'd love them to make it but, I don't think so, they'll probably come out with some i8 upgrade.

Most likely that's what will happen.

Looks like it will replace the 1.5 liter 3 cylinder engine with 2.0 liter 4 cylinder and also adding bigger battery.

What the i8 should have been.

With a power train similar to ACURA's NSX.

The owner spec'd it so he could go around saying "my mates (m8's) green with envy" all the time

Correction.. What you WISH i8 would have been. However, in reality, the i8 was exactly what BMW wanted to make.

No shoulda/coulda/woulda about it.

And then 4 years later they made an 8 (without the i) that you clearly prefer.
