A link? (previously requested) to your AE purchased titanium exhaust?

After a few mins searching AE, located some exhausts, but could not locate this one. The website's search feature is like attempting to win the prize at a rigged carnival game.
Well AE does appear to offer a selection of vendors whom are building cat-back systems, at first glance none appeared to be exact to the VT CB. After a brief pic assessment, the quality of the OP's kit/system appears to be superior to anything I viewed upon the AE app.

Please find the pics of the one bought from AE attached… visually VT probably looks better but not sure if it has any effect… also I’m not convinced with VT of where they placed the xpipe… I think the xpipe should be as close as possible to downpipes but its just my 2cents… I really have no complaints with tue Chinese exhaust (VT is also built in China just not sure who the supplier is).. I’ve asked the bodyshop of how the fitments was and they said it was nearly perfect, 90%.. in general very happy with this exhaust considering it cost me only £1.8k inc shipping

Please let us know the exact AE exhaust you purchased. AE is very tough to determine what is good and what is junk so a video of the sound would be much appreciated too. Thanks for taking the plunge and letting us know if you sink or swim 😳

Made in China - So true for most things these days.

Good catch on the x-pipe location.

Appreciate the follow-up and the details.

Hey Folks,
Jumping in to give some clarity on the AE exhaust. It's important to understand that some people who decide to take the plunge and order from a place like AliExpress do you get a half decent product in the short term. Unfortunately, this does not usually play out when the system ages. Something can look very similar, but can have such different engineering constraints. It's a totally different product indeed. You can see in the valve bodies that they're clamping stainless steel valve bodies to the titanium piping instead of using a casted titanium valve body. This is one of the cheapest manufacturing techniques and your valves will rattle. Maybe not immediately but overtime they will. if you want to take the risk, you are more than welcome to do so, but we have had so many people who order systems like this from suppliers and they receive something totally different and their credit card companies are unwilling to assist and aliexpress sides with the manufacture and they end up being forced to dispose of the system and purchased the authentic thing as they are embarrassed to have their valves rattle.

Remember, if we were just drop shipping systems like this with no engineering developments, we would've failed long ago.

Is the valve body your only concern? Does VT use titanium body because they look nearly identical from the pictures…
I can’t say much about the valve rattle as I always keep my valves open… I’m not saying this system is any better or identical to the VT, but considering it cost me 3x less I have no regrets with this system

I’m with others about the midpipes. I can’t risk the noise limits at my track to buy the full system, but looked at the Dinan mid xpipes for M5 which needs modifying for F92 and not available until March 2024 which really means August 2024. I’ll buy as soon as you say the word

I originally installed the VT system with the OEM valve control so I wouldn’t have to mess with a Remote. I still wasn’t getting the sound that I wanted, so I had the VT valves installed with the remote and control box. My assumption would be the exhaust button inside the car with no longer work, but it appears that it does. I’m wondering if this was installed incorrectly. When I am in comfort mode, the remote opens and closes the valves, but if I use the M1 or M2 button, it turns on the exhaust valve button on the center console and the remote no longer works, but the button in the car does. Very strange that both would work. Any advice would be appreciated.

That is very strange and not correct. So how mine works is simply no matter the setting my remote works. I can be in Sport Plus and close the valves via remote (physically hear them close and open). However with say my valves remote set to open the tone and noise changes based on being in Normal, Sport or Sport Plus no matter the valves bc the engine tuning with those button options are different. If you are saying that your button no longer works when you go to say your Sport Plus or Sport setting you are correct something is not working as intended.

Thank you, this helpful. If you are in Sport Plus, does your OEM exhaust button work at all?

It doesn't seem to affect any sport mode, but with it off the normal mode does not give any pops at all. When I tested the OEM setup the button looked like it didn't even move the flaps, I believe Sport modes moved the flaps and the button seem to me anyway to adjust for decel pops and up shift pops one both sport and sport plus. Not change to Normal.

Thanks all for the comments on the video. I enjoy working with that team on making videos and photo's. I'm hoping next I can get an exhaust for my GTS 4.0 so we can do another and then a duo shoot with the M8 and the GTS. Just gotta find one that's full cat back titanium.

hmmm titanium, no se but Soul makes a brilliant kit and so does Kline.

Im running Soul catless on my GTS (3.0) and that thing is brutal. I never thought a turbo 6 cyl engine could sound so good and loud... Well there are few 4.0's out there but they be 8's (Audi and Benz).
