New Spoiler. Thoughts?

Hey guys my new spoiler came in from Maxton Design came in. I had it color matches and painted today today. I’m having the stock baby spoiler (if you can call it that - more of a nub) removed and the new spoiler mounted. What do you guys think?

Can we see more angles from afar with the temp mounts? I like flow thru's on coupes at times so maybe this one works.

I’ll have more pics tomorrow. I already wrapped it up pretty tightly and put it in the box and bubble wrap for transport. I’ve attached a few pics tho of other M8s with it on.

I kind of wanted to something a little different. You don’t see a ton of M8s with spoilers. I think this will look clean and sharp.

I like it honestly, it even looks like it would work with the Vert.. Low enough that is.

Looks decent. But i don’t think it goes with 8 series curves. Probably looks better in person. At least it’s an affordable option.

Dare to be a little different. I’m not a huge fan of spoilers unless the car deserves it. Nothing gets a faster eye roll than a 08 Honda Civic pulling up to the light with a wing on it. Now an 800hp jet black tinted out M8 with one. Ok you’ve got my attention but low key.

It’s definitely a commitment. It requires holes to be drilled into the trunk and mounted. If it ends up being a disaster I buy a new trunk lid for $1700. Lesson learned. Im bringing it over to the shop today and am going to look at it from every angle possible and then make my decision.

You might be right and agreed if it doesn’t look good, it”s an affordable mistake.

I think the spoiler looks fine for a more aggressive M8, like the matte black one posted. But I wouldn't do it.

Even though I'm a vert driver, I strongly believe that the coupe is the best looker of the group, and especially its rear and rear 3/4-view. Those lines are beautiful. The best of any BMW marketed today. Svelte. And that spoiler breaks those beautiful lines for a much less sophisticated, boy-racer look. I just don't see the upside.

I like different. But different isn't always better. My $0.02 only.

I just used clear sticky pads to see what it would look like with it on. It looks amazing. No one would see this in person and say it looks bad. I have it tuned and an aggressive exhaust on it. It’s not stock. Now for the lightning bolts on the side and a big racing stripe down the middle (kidding).
