Don’t know if this is common knowledge or documented anywhere but if you hit your M1/M2 button before you start the engine, it starts up more aggressively. Probably shouldn’t be done when the engine has been sitting cold for a while but it sure sounds nice.

Also not sure if the settings configured for M1/M2 have any influence on it, both of mine have sport plus selected for the engine if that’s of any help. Enjoy!

I used to do this all the time with sport plus engine on m2 and have gotten the occasional check engine light. I suspect it was a combo of starting in the cold, my intakes and race chip settings. I don’t do it as much anymore.

I do m2 always pre start and M mode on the display too--- no issues and then I just rip the fucker

This makes a huge difference in start up sound. I just began cold starting in sport plus and the sound is wayyy better. Sometimes on startup there’s a burble or crack that sounds ridiculously sick.

You will always get that burble/crack starting in sport+ when engine reaches running temp and cold start isn’t engaged
