¿Question about Interstate Vehicle Law?

Okay so i live in State A, if i want to move to State B, but keep my address in State A [as well as drivers license, plates, and registration]

do i have to follow state B's vehicle code laws [tint, exhaust, etc]??

if you move into California, i believe, you are required to inform the DMV of your relocation. and i would think, you have to follow the state laws placed in that state. I know there's probably more info it's been a long time since i took drivers ed haha. anyways i would read up on the laws of the state you are going to be relocating to that's for sure.

Technically if your car is registered in State A, and abides by all equipment regulations of Federal and State A law, you do not have to conform to State B's tint/plate/CARB/etc... standards. Otherwise they'd be restricting Interstate Commerce, which is illegal in itself.

When I moved to CA, I kept TX plates and DL until I sold my house. I never removed my tint, and never got a ticket for it before moving back to TX. I still have my CA DL and just changed my plates.

One semi-related note, but states with state income tax require you to change your registration on at least your primary car if you work more than 50% of the time in that state, and also require you to file taxes in that state.
