Question re: staggered setup /tires/wheel / spare

So I hit a pothole. Destroyed my runflat, replacing tire with used with similar treadwear. Wheel is a bit bent, getting replaced even though it still seals ok. I plan to use this wheel as a full-sized spare for when I go to non-runflats.

245/40/19 front
275/35/19 rear ~~Typo Correction ~~

So Questions

1) can the front wheel be used as a spare if I had to put it on the rear?

2) My current treadwear is around 7/32's , the used tire Im putting on is said to have 7.5 /32nds, that should be ok , right?

TIA

I posted that it should be fine but then saw that you have different diameters front to back? I would not put a 40/19 on the same axle as a 35/19.

Something doesn't jive here. Is your rear wheel a 20?

Otherwise, why would you be running a lower profile tire in back??

Prior to BWM switching most models to run-flat tires...when there was a staggered wheel/tire combo...around the 2003 model year-up...BMW started using either the front wheel/tire combo...and then started installing a totally different wheel/tire combo which was usually the smallest wheel/tire combo that was offered on that model or smallest wheel/tire combo that was allowable due to a larger/performance brake option.

My 2006 e53 X5 had a 17" wheel/tire in the spare compartment...but it came with 18" wheels. And even the models that came with 20" staggered wheels had the 17" spare unless it had a larger brake option which would then change out your spare to an 18" wheel/tire combo.
