Colored Heat Shields

- - Heres this weekends project.
Changing the heat shields to these custom powder coated ones to match the intercoolers in Bengal Red.

This will probably have me running without the CF cover, which I was only having in place at a Cars n Coffee anyways.

Before and after's to come....

Thanks! It's been fun. I guess you could call it a hobby...haha.

These were actually slightly concerning after watching others and hearing about how difficult it is to remove them to get to the primary CATS. Now after doing it and exposing those CATS its so simple.
- -Thinking now maybe to get the High Flow primary and swap them myself. Heres a pic of them after covers are off. Totally accessible with a socket wrench.

Don’t you need an access from below in order to remove the primaries or it can be done from the engine bay

I don't know for sure. But, from looks. I could visually verify the upper clamp where it bolts to the back of the turbo and then the lower clamp as well, where it mounts to the secondary. The bolts to loosen both clamps are right in plain sight easy to get a socket on. Seems to me that you should be able to loosen both those - and that bitch would slide right out.

I remember seeing a video where they talked about how hard it was to get a wrench or socket on that lower clamp. Maybe when my guy did my secondary's he turned it for easy access.

Waiting to hear from others on this...
