Hands Free driving

Has anyone tried this? I don't really have any desire to drive completely hands free. The thing that annoys me that in stop and go, it nags to stay attentive and to put hands on the wheel. I spend more time distracted trying to reengage the hands free feature which is bothersome

I already covered this in another thread about the "tweaking" of DAP kicking in the nags at 10 seconds (yellow lights on the steering wheel) but ultimately it doesn't disengage until the full 20 seconds plus (steering wheel red lights plus the visual nag).

DAP+ is a different story and videos on the thread in which it works flawlessly until 40MPH is hit then oddly immediate red on the steering wheel but assume that is just a "hey DAP- is DOA) as light touch on the steering wheel and back to DAP. 👍

I think it does what it's designed for - to ensure that you maintain control of the car.
I only use it on long motorway drives, especially in congested, stop start, traffic. Provided that you keep your thumb hooked around the wheel and indicate for lane changes, it'll happily steer itself for as long as you like without the yellow caution lights flashing.

I ended up going into downtown a few days out of the week last week to host a conference. I used it for stop and go traffic it was really nice to just not give a F about anything and let the car go and stop as needed. I did find it a bit aggressive but hold the wheel a bit doesn't really bother me since I do that in the car anyway. Not sure about the post you linked but the OEM version works great for me.
