Hey mate, not sure on your summary, but otherwise I’m not really a numbers guy. But rather, these are the numbers on the day with no time for car DME to adjust.

It’s also one real world test of what’s possible given the myriad of assumptions we make when looking at the results of three pulls. Not much data really. It would have been fun to have a Racechip side by side but I didn’t get that part done with Ben.

I’ve ordered the Carbhan lower intercoolers and stage 2 controller from my vendor so we’ll run it again in October and see where it lands. I would hope for 670 at the wheel.

WOW! This is awesome info, as we have the same set up! I had to cancel my DYNO run last week so for now I will live vicariously thru you! LOL.

Assuming you put the car in "Dyno mode"? and were on a Linked All Wheel Drive Dyno?

Great info. Appreciate you sharing.

The dynojet is a front and rear linked system so all good. What Dyno do you have there in Kona?

It's only a single axel system. So I decided to not risk any damage to the transfer case. (which numerous people report).

I just wonder if I could put it in "Track Mode" Rear wheel drive only and give it a go??

Sorry my friend, I’d hate to advise. It makes sense to me. What does dyno guy say? You’re probably the only M car with the V8 on the island.

Dyno guys want to see this beast perform, so they are all in with nothing to lose! Too many questions for me.... But your numbers are good to live with in the real world.
You are correct. I have 1 of maybe 2 on the Big Island. Haven't seen the other one (if it exists-kinda like Big Foot) Hahahaha

Apex track wheels

I’m sure there’s better options but this is what I settled on for now given availability and remaining track days this season.

Apex VS-5RS 19x11 ET40 - 19.8 pounds
Apex VS-5RS 19x9.5 ET25 - 18.6 pounds

Michelin pilot sport cup 2

295/35R19. Couldn’t get the 305s
275/35R19.

Needed a 10mm spacer in rear.

When I first picked it up, it’s like WTF did I just do? Lol. Coming from the black M810s it’s a bit of a shocker. The middle ground would have been anthracite but I decided to go with this as the anthracite finish fades over time anyways. As per my vertinis

I agree, I thought I would just crunch the numbers to the avg of all runs to give it some insight. Obviously heat soak probably starts to settle in after 3 runs anyway. I agree I think it would be awesome to see a side by side for sure of all the piggy backs. I don't think I've seen one yet that dyno matched to claims, so the data you have is awesome no matter the results. A gain is still a gain...

So I have done trucks in the past by putting them in two wheel drive. I know the transfer case on my trucks disconnect fully.

From my understanding when we are in two wheel drive there is nothing going to the front as well. As far as the internals they only spin as fast as the rear is spinning.

I don't understand why in 2 wheel drive you cant run our cars on a single axle dyno???

Cool video showing the difference when on dyno between "dyno mode" and not using "dyno mode"...

I am with you 100% on that thought. Traction control is off. So no chance it would think there's a problem and engage right?

In Track Mode I'm pretty sure all safety mitigation systems are shut down?

yes in track mode you are just you and the car and traction control, so with both you should be on your own.

I'm not saying that you will see the best results from an 2wd dyno test but I see zero reason it cannot be done. Hell I've done standing burn outs and donuts in 2wd with nothing happening, so the theory that wheel speed sensor on the front causes it to launch back into AWD (that is what I've read on the net) is total bogus. I did just check you can enter dyno mode and then select two wheel drive as well.

Anyone actually explain why this cannot be done??

Love this car

Pretty impressed with what this heavy beast will do on the track.

First improvements that changed the car dramatically was the KW4 struts.

The second most dramatic improvement is the race wheels at 19 pounds each compared to 38 and 41 for cast M810s (which I paid fir as an option as a performance wheel - oh well) and the pilot cup 2s. Car turns in relatively quick now for the heavy beast it is.

Nice thing about the cup 2 is they slide nicely and just now learning to take advantage of that fact.

Beginning of vid is yet another lolllygaggin’ 50+‘er in a Porsche. I can say that, I’m 58.

There are at least a half dozen here on the rock. Not to mention a B8 or two. I am the only one who has shown up to the last two cars and coffee behind Willies Chicken.

I was the only one there yesterday, (Behind Willies). Nice turnout. Maybe 50 some cars in total.

Great vid and nice driving. Question for you and anyone else running on the track, what rotors are you using, stock, cam, other? What pads are you using and did you swap the brake lines for stainless. Brake fluid as well, Mosul, SRF, other? Thanks!

Thanks for the compliment. It’s a workout trying to hold oneself in the regular bucket seats.

I have the carbon ceramic brakes and I can say this, I run this car hard and kinda-sort-of keep with the GT3s and GT4s for the most part, and these brakes have presented no limitations whatsoever.

In awe of these brakes after huge disappointment in MSport brakes on M850, which were useless. My driving won’t hit the limits of these brakes, wherever that is.

I need to post another vid of tighter track. Strawberry Creek is spread out and open in comparison.

Cup 2s don’t work well on this beast on the track. Perfect street tire though. Still searching for a DOT track tire. Will try the Contis next

Added the low temp rads and advanced to Carbhan stage 2 controller. Well still says stage 1 on te controller and asked how to validate the change was made. Haven’t put it on dyno yet because put the winters on. Can’t see shit in the pic for the two low temp rads.

That looks like a very technical track, with our heavy cars you might not find tires that will fit the bill of both DOT and Track.... You could hear them bad boys yelling hard. LOL Good runs and looks like a fun track too.

You’re correct. Just not going to happen on that track. A good time at that track is 1:29 for a street car and I’ve done a consistent 1:26, but I pay with two fronts. That first pic in this thread of the shredded front is Rad Torque or Castrol as it was previously named. On the runs in the video, shredded both left and right fronts a few weeks ago.
