Really any good exhaust shop can... Most have their own form of X or H pipe design.

haha. well that is a concern then. Price wise akra will be costly but they fit OEM system well from my understanding.

A shop here locally that does exhaust repair quoted me 225 for an X pipe and 1.5 hrs to install. That is not a whole mid pipe but my thought was do secondary's and res to see if I like that or not.

Akra is the best IMO (because I just installed one myself). Not sure if you can only order pieces of their system. Ben would know? But also there is the back log with ordering to consider. It took 4 weeks to get mine.

Nothing special to look at but they are 20.2 pounds, a far cry from the 38.1 pound stock wheel.

Gave up on the super lights at 18-19 pounds. They keep pushing production back, which is the world we live in now.

I’ll try running the Conti Rs on the track.

Looks great! I really need to do this to mine, but my driveway already scrapes the rubber strip under the front OEM lip every day. No matter the angel of approach, its just an extreme driveway.

If you can; measure from the ground to the bottom side of your lip.

iND will match this reflectors nice for you. Easy to remove and install too.
-Although, here I failed the safety check, (required every year during registration renewal) because I didn't have them. Had to go back home (Luckily I saved the old ones) and 3M tape them to the car for it to pass the inspection. Of course I removed them right in the parking lot but be aware of the bullshit factor...

Those are going to look good. 20 lb is really light! I thought my aftermarket wheels were light at 28 lb.

Cant wait to see how the Conti's hold up. Im running Michelin Cup 2's as my every day tire here, because I can and they do grip quite well.

Are the Conti R street legal too?

5.25 inches - very careful measurements.

Yes Contis are the DOT track tires

If I could get the cup2s I’d run them too

Unsafe Trackday. Couple clips

Thread title says it all…these are my ramblings

25 years motorcycle club racing and accredited racing license, 12 years accredited auto race license, tracked every track on the West Coast of NA only as far south as Leguna Seca, which is still North for many of you guys.

When it comes to racing, I’m a complete nobody, but in my travels, never experienced this unsafe track experience anywhere else. The clip is only lap 1 and 2 after being let loose. Wonder what else was going on elsewhere.
  • No track preparation
  • No pre-track safety check
  • No track workers, so no flags
  • Of course, no EMT on site
  • Confusion on point-to-pass instruction
  • 1 lap at 50 kph in procession
  • 1 lap at half-mast track speed
  • Lap 3, everyone is let loose, regardless of novice driver or novice to the track.
  • Seasoned vets mixed with total noobs

Im venting and will erase later…thanks for listening. The clip isn’t so bad, but these incidents should be rare.

OOOO I feel for you!!!!!! Maybe someone should tell them how to technically drive on track, some instantly forget there are two pedals. LOL As far as your List, I think about after number 4 I'd be going home. Sucks you had to deal with all that and scary for so many people out there.

More ramblings

Skip to 3:30 to hear M8 roar a bit after ditching pesky, but fast Ford Fiesta (seriously sleeper car).

https://youtu.be/6FdubGnLzZo

This is secondary cat delete, Eventuri intake with MSport exhaust? I didn’t order MPerformance exhaust.

Still a bit hesitant on the track on only 7th lap. Experienced track guys will see where there’s lots of room to improve as I’m off the race line in a lot of places and not on the pedal quick enough. Catalyst ran out of space after this vid but quit with the lollygaggin’ around a session later and got a good sense for the KW V4s pushing pretty hard. Conclusion - car is friggin heavy so need to chill a bit, but KWs need to be adjusted for rebound and car could be lower. This track day saw right front PS4 rolling on edge likely on first and last turns and elevation-change turn where GTS had an ‘oh shit’ moment in other video.

Took me a minute to settle out. In Canada, my build is $194k and I don’t need goofs around. Don’t think I’ll go back to that track. Never know.

No heat soak thus far

The Wagner Tuning intercoolers installed and no heat soak whatsoever yesterday at the track, albeit was only 23 centigrade. Turbos were very responsive.

Ben at RGSports can get these for you. Check out the specs on these units that are published by WT. No, they don’t come in different colours, but it’s probably possible.

How did Wagner handle the clip that holds the wires up and un the actual cooler? There's a finger or flange that accepts the plastic clip on mine, but nothing to keep it in place. Easily slides off and dangerously close to that serpentine belt! Right now I have mine held up from falling off with zip ties and not happy about that at all. I need to come up with something. Seems CSF forgot something here on mine. I marked the pic of yours where I'm referring to.

Wow! Thats pretty crazy. I hate being around fools. I'm going to guess a lot of these guys were younger "kids" right? Fast and furious mentality.

I'm with ya on the build costs (I'm currently over $200K) and know full well my risks, but don't need/want any others contributing to it.

Fun watching your vids though. Cant wait to get mine to the track on September 11th.

They’re just sitting there nice and pretty. It’s not bothering me yet, but may now that you’ve pointed it out.

I mean that’s my cost to the dealer. I have another $20k or so into it. Not nearly what you have, but this is CND $s too.

Dynojet numbers

First run: two mods that should make little difference. Eventuri intake and secondary cat delete. Also, Wagner Tuning Intercooler upgrade.
