For you guys, what in your mind would be the top mods right away to do for a new M8 Comp? I'm thinking the following but curious others opinions:

1. Racechip
2. Eventuri Intake
3. Exhaust (Akar or FI not sure)

Absolutely the Eventuri. I have it! Not so much for any gains; but the look and sound is fantastic. Also, install - is a walk in the park.

I have Evo Line Akro on order, so I guess that makes one of mine (top picks). This will get installed along with secondary down pipes in October. So, the jury is still out on that...

Also just installed (yesterday) the GPower CF hood. I love it!

Tenac is on here, and IMO - is the person to ask regarding tunes.

I have my own personal BPU's (Basic Performance Upgrades) with 40 plus cars prior and now my current run:

1. tint day one
2. ceramic coat (I dont drive enough or have bad roads for ppf)
2. lower (depending on OEM stance)
3. spacers (depending on OEM offsets)
4. Exhaust (depending on OEM tone)
5. DME tune or Piggy (depending on car)
6. maybe some aesthetics aka lip spoiler or whataver

So with the M8 it was exactly as above and done in about 3 days- maybe 2. (sans 6)

But, to answer OP's questions.
I would do RaceChip first from your list.

If it off your list, it would be lowering and spacer first.
Reason, car is fast enough, just need to get rid the 4x4 looks.

Went for OEM 600 hp software chip update. Didn't take the RaceChip finally as the 0-60 wasn't improved so much and less than what I could get from the soft warranty safe update…
Didn't lower the car because I live in 🤯 Quebec 😬

Do share more information, I believe we all would like to know more about it since this is the first time I've heard about this.

I suppose it depends on what you're looking for out of the car as far as mods. The car is already going to be far more car powerwise than I need or can use. I know, that only half makes sense to say on a car forum. My autobahn driving German friends once asked me what I need this much car for (in relation to my 335 several cars ago) because "you can't use it there". I scoffed at their question.

But still, 617hp is realistically more than I'm going to generally take advantage of since I'm not going to track the car, so my mods would/will end up being more cosmetic and audio. Window tint and some kind of speaker/audio upgrade. I ordered the painted Roundel's from iND which have an 8-10w delivery time. I'll also code the anti-dazzle and a few other coding things.

I have Stage 2 M8 and meehh, still not enough, I'm considering stage 3 with hybrid turbos

I'm in your camp. I'm not shy about modding, but for me, there's not much point with the M8. Lowering (which I did and love with my X4) is a bit too boy-racer for the M8 for my taste. And I made a couple of coding changes, but even there, there's not much to do with this car. Now if I could figure out a mod that sheds 500 pounds from the car, I'd be all in!

I bought the Racechip black. Almost feeling like it was a waste of money really. Really don't need it at all. Just fun to say I have over 700HP. How often will I use that....rarely.
Spend it elsewhere is my opinion. These car are so well equipped really. I've been buying the fun carbon stuff.
Really like my Spoiler King rear window spoiler.
Carbon grille insert is on it's ways in a day or 2.

No idea what this is. I'll predict naivety but would love to be proven wrong.

That said, the car has more than 600hp stock so what exactly is it we're lusting after here?

FWIW, I've booked a PPF + Carbahn suspension + Forgeline wheels. No tune planned yet. I've had stage-1 flashes on some of my previous cars, but the cars were pretty low end to begin with and I didn't really feel any difference (to be fair, I didn't benchmark the cars before/after either, so it's just based on driving experience).

I currently have a factory matte painted car, and, while I love the way it looks, I hate the way it feels when someone dings my door at a parking lot (happened twice, matte paint is a PITA to fix). So, for the M8, I decided to go with metallic paint and stealth PPF to get the look I'm after.

Living in a rainy northern state, I optimized for all year usage, so it's going to be black-on-black. I'd definitely go for a less boring color if I was living in a sunny state though.

Was contemplating CarBahn but that was before I could open this car up after breakin. Plus they don’t like Canadians or some BS

The car is a beast in 2WD. I don’t need more power at this stage but I need it to handle better.

I am in camp, enough power…for now but don’t see that changing.
