M anniversary badging on M850i
I'd been waiting to see the M 50th anniversary badges anywhere in person since they were announced, and was able to on this M850i at BMW Welt last weekend. Thought you 8 fans might enjoy.

Thanks for sharing! Guessing that is the ne frozen Tanzanite which looks great but somewhat of an oxymoron as one loses the stunning metallic flake that makes Tanzanite a true chameleon.
That said the emblem is a $200 option on the 2023 M850i's and pretty much a no brainer as it doesn't even move the MSRP needle. |

Kinda looks out of place. Maybe it's the frozen paint. Would look good on the lighter colors though imo.

I like it. The traditional blue and white bmw badges on my Sapphire Black always look just a bit wrong to me, woukd much prefer the 50th anniversary badges. Or even better…black and white.

I much prefer the regular Roundels. I feel like I have to search for the Roundel in the midst of a bunch of circle parts on that one. Cool logo, but not what I'd want on my car.

Now, if they could put these on the iX M60, but make it a mechanical iris that replaces the current lame camera washing mechanism, I'm in.

Looks like that badge is now a $200 option on the 8 Series configurator.

I thought long and hard about it, then I decided this being the end of an era (V8), having such badging decades from now will be significant as a factory installed item. I hope more folks opt out of them…
