Hi,

Took deliver of my 840i in September and now the cold is coming in, wanted to make use of the remote engine start. I have pre-conditioning in the app, but it's not starting the engine.

When looking in the car settings I don't seem to have the remote engine start option to enable?

This car should have it as standard I believe... am I missing something?

You have to enable it climate control settings. Look for the Preconditioning/ventilation menu. Tick the box to enable remote engine start

Yeah, that's where I looked and can't see it. Didn't mention, but this is a UK car...

Don't think remote start is available for UK cars, my 840i certainly doesn't have remote start.

I am pretty sure remote start is not available in the UK for environmental reasons.

Certainly isn’t on my 840.
