Either way, I just adore these purple BMWs. If I ever do an Individual BMW, it will be hard to resist the temptation.

It's more the lighting than anything else. In the OP it's darker. You can tell because it's clearly overcast. Versus the lighter is in direct sunlight. You can tell by the shadows.

Yes the different cameras make a difference also. Here they are side by side. Crazy how different they look.

For one is if you Detail you car the right way you can and bring the depth of the color better.

And as you mention in this case is the direct sunlight vs shade.

BMW has redone Estoril Blue.. but other 1990s colors like Avus Blue , Interlgagos Blue, Boston Green, Imola Red, and Hellrot have not been returned to production models.
