I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing... lol

I think many people believe a sedan needs to have a very traditional roofline that goes flat on the trunk line. While I don't think the 8GC looks massively better than the 6GC, I do like the sleeker roofline.

Looks like they took note of the Aston Martin Rapide's sjde profile, which is my opinion is one of, if not the most beautiful four door around.

Now if only they gave the M8GC the bumper from the concept, and not that bland one on the newly debuted coupe.

In the first photo of it under the lights the rear quarter panel looks like a Lexus GS. That section looks much better in the other photos with natural light. Overall looks good. I still think the previous gen S7 is the best sedan coupe to date.

Definitely agree the M8GC Concept was stunning, I guess I was hoping for a bit of the same.

Look forward to some more pics of the 8GC nevertheless!

Maybe in terms of initial price and accelerated depreciation, but certainly not style.

All BMW needs to do to destroy the likes of Tesla and the Model S is put a full EV drive train in this body and call it a day. Who the hell wouldn't buy this!?!?! Jaw dropping gorgeous!

I agree it looks much better. For me though it's a matter of how much legroom in the back. Judging by the coupe It doesn't look like it will be as spacious as the 7. We shall see.

Hot !! Much better looking than the Mercedes or Porsche. Why would anyone buy a 7 Series; or for that matter a Mercedes S Class?

I like it, it looks really good!
Personally I think it looks better than the F06 6 series Gran Coupé
It should be available in 6 cylinders, 840i, as well as the 850i and the mighty couple M8 and M8 Competition

There is 1 thing I don't understand though:
Why do they insist on changing the Hofmeister kink?
If BMW abandons what makes a car a BMW, then we'd have a car that looks similar to any other in the segment.

The roofline looks more 4GC than 6GC which I think is a shame, but I guess it'll be easier to tell in official pics/videos and in person

There will be a sizable price gap between the two models.

this is my surprised face... I think any enthusiast could have told BMW that before they even released it when we found out they were moving the 5GT to be called the 6GT.

Yeah, like night and day. This thing looks:
1) Bulky and unshapely
2) Has ridiculously huge side vents

The 6 series GC is still the prettiest bmw in the last decade.
