you have the new software. you need to wait for bimmercode to update to the new 2020 software. send them an email and wait.

or call r33_RGSport and see what he can do.

Just loaded the latest version but it does not seem to handle anti-dazzle as the only headlight feature is daytime running light. Can anyone confirm whom is using the app?

Unfortunately yes, anti-dazzle isn't supported by bimmercode. nor any other more serious engine or hardware mods.
Bimmercode is mostly the soft fluffy "safe" coding. You can try expert mode, but that's risky.

I had mine done by r33_RGSport and he did a great job with my laptop and remote connection. However, keep in mind that now you're risking more serious changes to the car.

that said, the anti-dazzle works great at night on small roads with light traffic. it's not that useful in city full traffic or completely rural no traffic areas. But a mild Suburban area with light traffic at night at small highway speeds, it's amazing!!

also Ben can code the trunk button and a couple other things bimmercode can't do without expert mode.

sorry it's the test version. you need the "beta", I got it by emailing them and asking for features not working.
I think I said the video in motion wasn't working, and they "invited" to the tester versions.

After a short wait I received my UniCarScan adapter from Europe and followed the online Bimmercode instructions and successfully completed my first coding. It's very simple and easy, although I wasn't able to get the tailgate coding to work and have sent Bimmercode a ticket.

Was able to sort out two very irritating items for me by activating memory for the auto stop/start function and the air recirculate function. I appreciate in Sport mode that auto stop/start is disabled. Just great to get into the car and not have to think about pressing these two buttons every time.

What I don't understand is why isn't this sort of functionality included in the BMW connected app for premium vehicles. For me to take the 8 into BMW here and ask them to code auto stop/start to be automatically off is $1,000. Unlike Europe, there is no law requiring auto stop/start here.

Anyway thanks to the forum for this great discovery.

I used UniCarScan and bought it from the vendor recommended on the Bimmercode site. All very straight forward and it works fine.

I've used E-Sys for years doing the work by myself. Then it got tedious, so I started paying folks with the inclination and time to do the hard work around research and staying current. I now have two great remote coders available to me who I've written automation for to assist in their remote coding endeavors--a win win for me & them (you know who you are ).

Can someone tell me what the killer features are that Bimmercode/the others can enable, please? I don't use everything so I'm wondering if it's time I went back to doing it myself but with shrink-wrapped packaging and far less effort (I presume).

My top 5:
- Set auto stop/start to remember the last setting (shut the damn thing off forever).
- Re-enable anti-dazzle automatic brights.
- Eliminate the legal disclaimer at start up.
- Code the inside and key fob trunk buttons to close as well as open the trunk.
- Lower the seat-ventilation temp to arctic.

That would be annoying as shit!! Luckily, M8s preserve that setting by default.

Love 'em, too. Having some issues coding them; keeps causing a turn-signal error (blinking rate wayyyy too high).

so agreed.

Yup, on my list, too.

I'm with ya. Note, you can't actually adjust the temp, just the fan speed... bur my arse appreciates it either way.
