what is the latest version of the iDrive 7 software people are running in there car.....i seem to be running 11/2018.56

is this the latest for the 8 series

I saw mine showed a recall being done on the dealer's inventory computer, appears to be high pressure fuel pump/s.

My 2020 M850i with a completed build date of 10/24/19 is running 07/2019.55 but I did not select the "search for upgrades" option as everything is running great and have been burned more than once with iOS or Android updates.

I don't recall the numbers, but mine came with an old version (maybe your same OP)
and with the newest update I got for the backup camera recall on the m850i, it updated to something similar to the 2019 numbers listed above. I think it's a match, but I can check when I get back from vacation.

Interesting. I pressed remote software update and nothing new was coming up.
When I checked in the Connected app, it says no software update available (under Info, Remote software upgrade) although I don’t know if that refers to the cars software or iDrive...

I suspect dealer updated mine. Then again it may be a newer production.

What was the build date of your M8C? Going to guess that if not in November your dealer definitely updated the iD7 software.

I'll wonder if the base software, i.e., 07/2019.xx vs 11/2019.xx may be a dealer only upgrade and the over the air may just be the .XX aka point releases. However, that theory doesn't seem to hold water as Wolfman64 didn't get any updates available on his 07/2019.20 and I'm running 07/2019.55 so at least that should have been an option.

It'll be interesting if anyone ever gets a remote software update of any rev. level.

So far the only automatic updates were map updates.

Just had my i drive software updated to 11/2019.20 at the dealers

So now we know that is the latest of now considering it's on Noushy's November build and the same exact rev your dealer installed. Will get mine updated during my first scheduled service.
