Adventurin Red

Does anyone have a new 8 Series in Adventurin Red? I am close to ordering a 2020 M850i GC (in the next few days) and had homed in on Tanzanite II, however then I started looking at Adventurin on the website configurator. My problem is that we all know how difficult it is to represent true colors on websites. Adventurin looks like it could be similar to the old 70's BMW Malaga color, which would be a good thing. However that color was not metallic like this is. I know that color is a personal preference, but I have always liked the Burgundy color. I have owned 21 BMW's and presently still have a '73 2002tii and and '88 M6, none of which has been Malaga. My dealer does not have a vehicle or paint sample in Adventurin. But I don't want to make a $120,000 mistake that I will have to live with for a few years. So, does anyone have an outdoor picture of this color in the sunlight?

Yeah, that's definitely not Adventurin Red, but these are.

Agreed as they look like Sunset Orange (or similar variant for the M8 series). If you want to see some great pics of Adventurin Red this Bimmerpost thread has great pics including what looks to be shots after a ceramic coating was done on the car: https://f92.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1600537

That said I checked out the color before ordering my M850i and it is indeed stunning. Catch-22 is I fell in love with Fiona Red/Black for the interior so had to scratch it off the list for exterior colors as did not want to be chromatic and the darker red somewhat clashes with the lighter interior red.

Thanks for all the great pics. Now my decision is harder than ever!

bloozemanAZ, I understand your color dilemma...I also really like Tanzanite with Fiona/Black full Merino interior as we have discussed before. If I go with Adventurin, I'll have to go with the Tartufo/Black Full Merino for the same reasons you mention.

Totally understand. The Adventurin I saw at a local dealer had Ivory White as an interior and looked great but I personally shy away from such a light colored interior. However, if well protected it should not be an issue. In regards to Tartufo/Black I've seen it in many builds and it is a great looking interior. In fact that was my go to interior if I chose Sunset Orange but I was never able to see that in person prior to placing my order.

Side note on well protected my M850i was dropped off this morning at the detailer that was the winner of my local research for PPF installation. Picking it up tomorrow evening and dropping it off again on Monday for exterior ceramic coating as well as interior coating of all the leather and the Alcantara headliner. As stated the full leather package is worth it but now I'm just concerned on protecting against the AZ sunlight and of course overall wear and tear.

Should have added that if you are looking for a bit of uniqueness you can't go wrong with either Tanzanite or Adventurin as out of the 3 standard Individual exteriors very few spec (aka HEA) cars are built with it. By far Davit Grey is seemingly the spec choice for Individual which is gorgeous and on my first failed build but had the chance to see Tanzanite prior to the second build being locked in.

I actually had a quote of $5K for Verde Ermes for the exterior color (would have matched with either Tartufo/Black or Cognac for the interior) but decided to walk away from that as I'll already be taking a ridiculous depreciation hit as it is and that just adds insult to injury.

I love adventurine but apart from black leather I’m not sure if there is a good colour match for the interior at the moment? A dark brown might work ok but that isn’t currently an option. Something like Canyon brown might work quite well I think.
