Civic R Coupe Concept Rendering!

Obviously it's a bit hardcore for production but the people at Wild-Speed made some renderings what the upcoming Civic-R "should" look like, and I like it, especially that front and dat ass. The tail lights go INTO the rear wing, wicked!

What do you guys think? Too much?

I think the new Civic looks like a 7/8th variant of the Accord coupe, with some minor changes. That being said, I don't think it looks *too* bad, but I don't see the need for 4 tips for a 4 banger...?

TypeR is always over the top. I say cheers and keep at it.

It's going to be a turbo-4. STi has 4 tips, no one complains about that.

Right, I actually think the 4 tips are too much for a compact, if it had 2x4" I think that would be a better look, it does have a 300ish HP turbo.

You want two 4" tips? It doesn't have a jet engine.

It looks like it's trying too hard. Tone it down a bit and it will can be a nice looking car. Seriously, those lights in the rear, the four gargantuan centered exhaust tips, those red lines, and that wing = a fiasco. Whatever happened to the Type R found in the 90s/early 2000s? Those didn't look like they were trying this hard to say "I'm a beast!"

I thought the 4 centered tips on a corvette were dumb, they sure are dumber here. I understand the red thing going on because it's a Type-R but it's a bit much.

Who am I to talk? I drive the "ugly" "cute" and "cool" 1 series depending on who I'm talking to. I'm sure the same can be said about this Type-R. Since I'm not one for mutual wound licking, I'll stand by "ugly" at this point.

Not that I'm defending it but it is just a rendering by a company that thinks that what it "should" look like, I agree it's too much for a production car but toning it down a bit like on the sides and back would make it very desirable. The front is pretty damn good and I'd say really close to production spec. The back needs a little less activity I think.

I actually really like it! It'd be a sweet daily while the m6 is for the weekend!

The front is just right, yes, it's good. Since I'm here again, I hope they bring back the all red interior of the old CTR and offer white wheels (just like the old CTR) as an option.
