BMW did a nice job transforming the important design cues from the Concept over to the M8. With complex regulations, this is often times not an easy task to accomplish. Well done, BMW. What a stunning vehicle inside and out.

M8 is beautiful and the seats are just beautiful.
However,
None of them -still- can’t hold a candle to that M6 dashboard! None!
For me this is the best interior in a car ! Period!
The -just for the driver only- interior lines of the M6 dashboard are just exceptional!

The production version is very close to the concept version. Good job, BMW!

Agreed. I do love the M6 GC and feel pictures don't do it justice. I've also been as hard on BMW as anyone over the last few years, but the M8GC looks stunning and makes the 6 look so dated, at least on the exterior.

Porsche easy, both inside and outside.
Benz looks unfinished outside and over-designed inside.
Was always indifferent about the new 8. Meh.

If I had the cash, M8GC. The rear is just darn sexy and aggressive looking! As is the rest of the car. I am on the fence about all the carbon on the front... I think it would be okay on a darker color car so it didn't scream at ya. On a white car, no way! I like the interior too, it still looks like a car. They are all impressive machines! The interior of the Mercedes is just too 'alien space craft wannabe' for my taste and the Porsche is just subtly boring. But who am I to criticize a car that costs twice as much as my X3M Comp... I just can't believe how many $130,000+ cars fill the showroom now! I remember when the only thing that cost that much was a Ferrari 512TR... The price of cars is getting outta control these days. And here in Southern California, there are so many on the road. Crazy...

All three cars are beautiful, Mercedes interior I find to be overwhelming. I like BMW because they separate the driving buttons from AC/Radio buttons as well as being simple but functional. Porsche looks much more friendly than the previous generations.

When you can get a car mortgage now, are you really surprised!!! I've seen people get 12 YEAR financing on cars in this price range. Their interest is literally higher than the principal the first year or so.

I'm guessing BMW wanted to tailor the M8 to the rich and classy, and to the rich and sporty crowd which can be tough since their tastes are different. I prefer the concept, but it would have been too aggressive for a car in this price range considering who the target market is.

The aggressiveness of the concept should be used on the G80 since that target market is younger.

The M8 GC wins it for me, but I really don't like these carbon parts in the front bumper. It doesn't make the front look better, on the contrary actually, it looks less sharp and make the bumper look flat.

I'll never become a fan of the Mercedes interiors that so many people rave about (on Bimmerpost as well). It's basically dominated by a huge screen bar, it's neither creative nor driver-oriented. The rest is pretty over-designed. It looks high, too, but maybe I'd get used to it over time.

The Panamera looks better in person than on pictures.

As for the M6... Although the exterior looks good, it sure looks dated. But I still think this is one of the most beautiful interiors ever. I remember when I sat in there for the first time at the Geneva car show, I just fell in love directly.

Whoa 😳! 12 year loan for a car!! That is insane! I think the last time I had a car loan the max was 5yrs. They get ya with the interest! 12 yrs!!! OMG, I just can't wrap my brain around that.

If the M6GC is 6 or 7 years old and we still comparing it with current and even future cars, that's a big win for it

I put 40000 miles on a m6 gc and I enjoyed every second of it. Although it's look may beat M8gc from some angels (smoother lines, more harmony in design) however I'm pretty sure it's ride quality would not be even close to M8. M6 had a pretty vague steering and it had a hard time to stay in middle in the highway speed. Twisty roads were different story, lots of fun.

M6 gc used to drab everyone's attention.

One afternoon I was walking to my car in parking lot after work. I saw an old man with 3 German shepherds was staring at m6 front brake disc. He asked me: "why your car needs such a massive brake disc?"
I answered: why do you need 3 German shepherds?
He replied: good point! And left.

Unnecessary "must haves". If we can afford.

Uh, well, we are comparing it since the 8 is the successor to the 6. Nothing more nothing less.

I agree 100%. And likely, this will be my replacement for my M6 when the time is right...

Would some one compare the M8 coupe to other cars in the segment. Because from my sighting of m850i, it is going to be even more gorgeous
