Flagship doesnt have to do anything with dates, it has to do with models and then when those certain models were delivered. Id would fathom that a new 2019 M850i has flagship on it for sure. I think it was 10k but that part I dont know. Flagship doesnt have to be shared as its technically "trunk" in nature but a dealer with an aged unit will be beyond motivated especially right now.

Such an unusual and uncertain time. No good guess but suspect it will depend upon specific vehicle & dealer circumstances. My sense, earlier in the year, was that a CPO could offer greater savings. Good luck!

Id go for 25% plus the 12k and add that up and adjust the price with that dollar offer.

I thought I read that somewhere. My dealer (new car sales manager) says there's only 2K on the M8 and that flagship is tied into model year and not production date. Actually advised me to hold off until later in the year.

I got mine at the end of March and 21% seemed to be the cap for most dealers, that was already factoring in the 12k flagship at that time, which I confirmed through a couple dealerships. I found a couple at 22% and finally got one at 23.5%. But that was March, when they still may have been able to hit their monthly volume bonus.
Most people agree it’s a little less now as far as discounts go because they won’t hit any volume bonus targets. I shopped over a dozen dealerships, being in SoCal, and I had patience to work out the deal because my old lease still had a couple months on it. Money Factor is lower now but probably so are the dealer discounts. I would guess that 20% is still reasonable, shoot for more, but that already includes flagship, loyalty is always on top, just remember that part because some dealerships will say yea we can give you 20% but it includes loyalty already in their numbers. Do Max MSDs if you can and save another 50-70 per month. And if you are on the cusp for mileage, go higher because the overage charges are more now than in the past, that extra 1% residual hit works out in your favor generally. |

I just got a quote from a dealer for around 23% all in, which sounds great until I read this thread. MSRP 122 selling for 94K. Ballpark $933/month lease, nothing down, 7500 miles on a M850i convertible sale demo (1K miles on it).
And since it's a demo, I can't get the BMW CCA rebate on it.

I wouldnt say backfired LOL but others have been there. It might be due to many reasons that I articulated in our PM's. Remember what Gretzky said "you miss 100% the shots you dont take" So where are you at with Oregon??

Sounds like a great deal to me if the 2019 M850i (assuming that) meets your desired specs, etc. I know everyone wants a great deal and in hindsight I got absolutely fleeced on my 2020 M850i but at the time of order it was one of 5 allocations for the entire US. That said I still checked 2019 stock on the ground before taking delivery (not like I expected anything to change but I had to do it) and there was not a single coupe that matched my specs. Granted I was absolutely not willing to compromise and in turn paid the price (pun intended). However, wind the clock forward 6 months and I have a M850i in the garage built to my specs and just looking at it brings a smile to my face let alone the ecstatic experience every time I'm behind the wheel. Bottom line is if you can get a M850i at any price you're willing to pay at the end of the day you'll be happy you did so. |
