I'd love to see it as both examples are ICE but if fruition than the LFA replacement. Not sure based on rumors the LC500 in MY 2026 will even have ICE or if so a PHEV.

Still prefer the previous exterior design and not a huge fan of adding the "seats" in back. My experience with MB was great in my C63S, but wished they would have kept the 8-cylinder engines for most of the AMG line-up. I'm sure they will deal on these as I don't see them moving well.

Absolutely STUNNING!!! Such a ginormous improvement over previous Gen!
I can easily see them attracting and getting customers from Porsche, which I've read is a goal.

Hell ya and the only challenge will be, IMHO, the price point. You get that amazing 4.0 V8 Hot V and an optically really good looking car.

Would I pay 200k for it- NO but lets see how it sells and if its like the SL things will play in our favor!!

GT better looking coupe than the SL is roadster, not sure why but just is to me. Exterior is gorgeous, the interior still leaves something to be desired. Not a fan of that iPad screen. Would like to have seen more switchgear. Hopefully they work out the reliability issues, SL has been notorious with battery issues. Lot's of super low mileage used 2022's.

Before anyone even considers the amg gt, look at how many SLs are buybacks or lemons in less than a year of being for sale. The new amg gt is identical to the SL so expect the same issues. Also, there are comparison tests of the SL 55 and SL 63 with the m850 convertible and m8 convertible and the 8 series came out on top. As a prior owner of a near 200k 2020 amg gtc roadster, I would tell u all to steer clear. Current mercedes reliability is pretty abominable. I'd also mention that the optional high end 3d burmester doesn't come close to the B&W

Yes sir and the tradeoff with the loss of the DCT like in the GT-S and C and above is the 4Matic Plus and rear wheel steering. Even the ARC looks interesting vs roll bars.

I need to drive one, when are they coming out stateside??

Edit: watched a few more review, all of them say its not remotely like the SL and is "significantly" different and better. Not one reviewer cited the SL as the better driver and instead said the GT drives incredibly well for the 43XX lb curb weight.

Price guestimates are around 16X to 18X with options at msrp.

I got all of these within just a few months of release and have been fortunate. If I see the pricing is fair on the new GT63 I might roll the dice yet again.

I'm not ready to let go of my Z4 but looking forward to a drive with my MB connect next year. Possible replacement for me when that time comes.

I'd wait a few months to a year for discounts to roll in. GT's have always been great cars, but they've never been big sellers. I don't see that changing here.

I really like the new GT a lot, but I'm a convertible guy, so I'll probably get a used SL.

Yeah the cars should come down, much like the GT63S's did post launch but these days cars are all over the place in value (at the higher line level)... but its a coupe and a benz so thats a kiss of death LOL.

SL's are dead--- wholesale values on 22's (63's) most of these had msrps in the 190s

Do your homework, many 22's are buybacks or just shy of becoming buybacks. Owners experiencing service exhaustion and just trade it.

I'd go '23.
