Exhaust tips for M850i?
A search leads me to a variety of exhaust mods, but all I really want is to improve the tips on my 2019 M850i coupe. Stock setup appears lost within the fascia cutout.
Are there any reasonably-priced exhaust tip options? TIA, Rich |

Maybe ArcticWhite used something with his Fi Exhaust, as there are no tips from Fi for M850i exhaust.

The Fi exhaust is setup to have tips, but you would have to replace the rear valance, as the openings are not big enough on the stock rear valance, and tips would look goofy with the factory exhaust trim surround. By setup for tips, I mean the Fi exhaust has round quad exhaust tips pointed completely perpendicular to the back of the car. If you look at the stock exhaust quad tips, they are rectangular and are angled. It would be hard to add tips to the factory system.
Unfortunately to add quad tips and have them look factory, you are into an aftermarket exhaust and a new rear valance, which is $$$. |

Was interested in this as well but haven't found a viable solution either. Thought about taking the exhaust surrounds off to fit on dual tips but haven't seen it done or if it's possible. Haven't found a single pic with the surrounds off to see if it's horrid or not. Undecided if I want to GP this mod.

I'd avoid the Fi one, unless you're looking for that one and know the issues with Fi vs ACS or 3D. See attached. |

Has anyone considered just going with the OEM M8 rear bumper and diffuser? It's a cheaper option than buying any carbon fiber diffuser. The Bumper was $1500, the diffuser was $289, & the four tips were $200

It was plug and play except a few minor modifications.
1. trim 1/2 off the passenger and driver side inner plastic bumper support (M8 lower reflector housing slightly binds on plastic inner bumper trim). 2. Remove the lower under body 850 muffler trim (M8 muffler differs from 850 so it will not mount to M8 bumper) 3. Drill three new holes in the exhaust heat shield for the M8 diffuser to mount underneath the car (diffuser mounting holes are a inch off from 850 diffuser) 4. Have a good muffler shop modify stock muffler exhaust pipes so your tips will exit in the proper place within the diffuser I had more photos of the install but my recent phone update erased the photos |

Looks good. The M850 should have came with a black bumper/diffuser to begin with. Hate that they go with that ugly grey across models.
Too much like the M8 imo. Not as bad as M badging everywhere on non M cars but still... Anyone try out the diffuser from RW Carbon? Looks like a decent option and actually cheaper than the M8 conversion. If I do change the diffuser it would be this. Recently had mine wrapped in gloss black so leaving it as is for awhile.

Maybe r33_RGSport has prices and can sell directly at a better rate. The ACS diffuser and exhaust. |

Couldn't agree more. Why recess the tips, unless it's done for no other reason than to be another visual distinction from the M8. All in all the M850i has few visual demerits outside the recessed tips, the sliver of a spoiler, and the wheels that beg for spacers to flush them up a bit more.
