M550 and M850 are the same. M5 and M8 are the same. (Width wise and profile size, that is.)
Does this mean the 668M will fit the m850i?

Does this mean the 668M will fit the m850i?

Most likely. They both run 8" fronts and 9" rears. The same tires: 245/35/20 and 275/30/20.

The M850 offsets are 26 for the front and 41 for the rear. The M550 offsets are 30 for the front and 44 for the rear, so there is a difference, but not really enough to worry about. Your 668s will sit 4mm and 3mm closer to the strut - which means you are sucking the wheel in a bit and decreasing your stance. Maybe add spacers? The 668Ms look great, but there are a lot of posts on the G30 forum about them being easily damaged by potholes.

I personally think the OEM wheels are too small for a car the size of an M850. It's long and heavy. I just went to a 9" front wheel and a 10.5" rear wheel. The tire widths went from 245 to 255 and 275 to 285. The M5 and M8 run 285 in the rear, but with a 35 profile. The 285 with a 30 profile is a bit stretched, so I am going up to 295 tomorrow.

The wider tires have really helped the cornering performance. A lot. I miss my two M5s even less now.

I have 285/35s in the front and 305/35s in the back and it’s absolutely perfect.
