I think they are the same widths and offsets:

20x9.5
20x10.5

ET28

So they should work ...

I am asking because I have just bought an M5 and I don’t like the wheels but I do have a spare set off my M8 which I like better.

Ah. Wrong way round for me—I need a front M8 wheel.

AFAIK, they’re entirely interchangeable along with many other parts.
