840d - THREE questions

I continue to love my 840d, but three things are niggling me:

1 - Why is the TMC (NOT the subscribed RTTI) never activated by default when using navigation?

2 - Where the heck can I find the remote software upgrade for download/installation? Unless I am blind, I cannot find it on the MyBMW app - and in the car, the relevant settings states that the upgrade is prepared for installation, but I cannot ever install it. What gives?

3 - My Night Vision continues to show a message that it's unavailable upon starting the car - yet it always works if I want it. Again, what gives?

For the software update, click on check status underneath the pic of your car in the app, click services, then it’ll be in that list.

Yes you need to connect your car up to the app - it’s setup using your VIN in the app, and then you’ll get a message in your idrive to approve. You will also need to be signed in to your connected drive account on your idrive too I believe.

Absolutely crazy stuff; I am logged in, both in the app and the car, and no remote upgrade shows up, even though iDrive says that the last version is blabla and is being prepared for installation (yet nothing happens).

My “remote software upgrade” eligibility shows as “active” and so on; yet nothing happens - should I just RESET the whole iDrive system?

Worth a go, but in a lot of cases if it’s stuck at the update stage it may need to be booked into the dealer to sort. Lastest version is 03/2023.50 for reference.

Hi, interesting mine shows 04/2023.60, and has the version 03/2023.50 in limbo !! No matter what I do it WILL not update in the car (I assume as it has a later version). More annoyingly the Safety Camera has also stopped working . 1st Service due August so will get all sorted then. I hope
