Any insight on m850 g15 dp

Having issues fitting an m850i downpipe on my car the current issues other than the difficulty of getting to them is that there's exahust flanges that connect the two pieces together as shown in the picture now one seems removable but the other is sandwiched between the great box and the starter i believe , also the exahust seems too short to be right.
Any info from someone who has done this to their car would be extremely helpful, currently in contact with the company that manufactures the down pipe and hoping for a reply by Monday.

You bought downpipes from RVG by the looks of it. Those are made for the US market which has no opf on the exhausts. Your car has opf on the exhaust which is why your downpipes are a bit longer than the non opf variant. The two brackets that are a pain to remove are going to need to be sacrificed as I remember they act as a distancer to the starter on the right hand side. Just order a pair of new brackets and cut up these ones as needed. Add about two inches of pipe to your new, sport cat downpipes and connect to your existing exhaust. Ignore the smell for about two weeks until the cats get broken in. Enjoy !
