Just an update: I just returned home after picking up my M8C GC, and I have to say that I'm very happy with it! First of all the obvious, I love the looks of this thing! It looks even better in person, and it seems to command attention wherever you go.
Now for the ride quality: I am absolutely satisfied with the ride quality, and found it to be very comfortable on the interstate. It will be a bit of an adjustment from my Range Rover Sport, but this was expected given such a different vehicle. The highlight on my way home was when a corvette pulled up next to me trying to be funny, and when I finally looked at him in my rear view mirror I was going 130. I'm extremely excited to start racking up the miles on this!
Now if someone can please tell me why my garage door opener won't program, that would be great! 😅
(Thinking about 21" wheels to fill the gap a bit, any thoughts)
Have a great weekend everyone!

Wow. What a beauty. I had a Donington F90 with black wheels. Looked very similar to your color. Still one of my favorite combos.

Enjoy

Thank you! I have to agree with you, I love the color combo and imo it's one of the best looking cars out there. I'm absolutely enjoying it so far, and looking forward to spending more time in it. Once you get over the initial shock of the price tag, it truly is an amazing car.
Enjoy your weekend

First off congrats....great looking car.

Technically if you move up to 21's you will do the "plus size" where you reduce the tire sidewall and keep the OEM diameter or similar. What you will want to do to eliminate gap is use the KW HAS lowering setup. Thats if you want to maintain OEM specs vs adding more sidewall to cover the gap.

Here is my GC with the KW HAS on OEM's with 18mm front and 12mm rear spacers:

Congrats on the car—she’s a beaut! 👍

To add to the party, here’s mine before and after on a similarly colored M8. Mine is lowered to the same spec as Vic’s.

Since you mentioned ride quality, the KW HAS does negatively impact that—less travel so you feel the road a bit more. Pot holes are to be avoided more so than ever.

If you like hearing the engine machanics, consider the Eventuri Intake—it releases the turbo whoosh and blowoff valve in gloriously audible ways. See: https://youtu.be/guu23ITZ7us

First two pics are before, the latter two after KW and spacers.

I thought it was near there. I have a home in Sarasota, and wish I could bring the BMW down sometime. Beautiful area.

Congrats on the purchase. I went back and fourth deciding between the B8 and M8. I think going with the B8 was a better choice for me having a small child with the softer suspension.

I have a 23 M8GC. Feels like the seats could be a little softer and stay with the same bolstering but the suspension and handling are fine.

I came from an RSQ8, which was a lot smoother, but apples to oranges.

I like the ride in my GC. But I'm not looking for sport car type firmness or handling.
I think BMW got it perfect.

I actually considered an RSQ8. I've been a long time Audi guy with one of my favorite vehicles a 17 S8 Plus. What forced a change was when I bought a nardo gray 21 RS5 Sportback. It was absolutely beautiful, but I couldn't get over how cheap the interior was for the price! Almost everything in there was plastic, including the steering wheel, dash & shifter. I literally felt like I was driving a go cart.
I definitely don't feel that way in the M8.
Thanks for your comment 👍
