19 y.o. kid gets a e92 M3, takes a few friends, loses it in a residential neighborhood, jumps a curb, goes flying through the air sideways, and rams into a house, smashing a brick post out from under the entry.

Then they had the peace of mind to run away from the scene and post about it, almost bragging.

These guys are my heros.

Only a matter of time till we hear about a story like this involving a 1er and a young driver.

Poor M3, but I can't believe they tried to run like the car isn't registered.

Parents should be put in jail for being so stupid.

Or are they really smart:iono:Maybe they hate their kid and thought that buying him a new M3 would be the easiet way to get rid of him:iono:

To be honest.. that is the most major reason why we do not allow kill / street racing stories or vids here. I only think it's a matter of time before we see a similar story with a 1er that has almost as much juice as an M3 (if not faster, with a tune), but not as well suspended.

Having those vids/discussions here could be construed as if it were condoned here.

Ok im going to be the voice of the youngsters,

Im 19, my parents bought me my car because the trust me.
Not all teenagers are bad drivers, yeah i think that this kid with the M3 was stupid, but his parents just wanted him to have a nice car to show off in and be noticed, i bet there are millions of parents that wish they could buy there son/daughter a nice car, yeah i dont think you should trust a kid if he has speeding tickets galore, but if he/she is a well behaved, straight A student, why not get them a nice car.
Just my 2 cents.

I hope the driver was at least arrested for wreckless driving, and hopefully a nice long ban from driving.

its not about buying one a nice car its about teaching a kid how to respect another ones life. If the parents did what they were supposed to do and teach the value of things and life and how to be responsible this may not have happened so in the end it's the parents who have no clue and this is the results! babies should not be able to drive period!

A nice car is one thing, a race/fast car is another. I'd consider a SLK 280 a nice car, and a SLK55 a Race/Fast car.
Not all Teenagers are bad drivers, but all teenagers are inexperience drivers (unless they start driving when they're 6yrs old or something) Driving a car takes Experience and Grades has nothing to do with it.

+1. I am 18 and that's another big reason, in addition to insurance, my parents payed for most of the 128 instead of the 135. They wanted me to learn to handle more power slowly and not be thrust into a 300HP monster that is the 135i. I do have to agree with silverbullet135i, however, that if a parent wants a well-behaved and respectful kid to drive around in a nice car, then so be it. It's an inherent reward to the parents themselves.

Either way this is one STUPID kid and a set of uneducated parents it seems. An M3 is just too much for a teenager.
RIP '08 M3...

Although, sometimes kids just have to learn the hard way (and hopefully not get killed doing it). I'm not THAT old (28) and can still get a little aggressive now and then, but definitely learned how not to be an idiot when I was 17. Nearly lost my life and have 2 pins in my right ankle as a reminder to not be an idiot because there's more to be lost than just pride.
